Whiteflash missed your post on the video. Like I said he later murdered somebody. He only got four months in jail even though the other guy never fought again.
He was granted another bout! Right around the time he beat a mans head to death with a hammer, who was allowing him to live in his house while he got himself back on track with a hammer.

Come on you watch enough sports to know that doesn’t matter, is it assault everytime there are cheap shots in hockey. I doubt Kos would press charges either.
Dude, you cannot be that dense. Those “cheap shots” are part of the game. If someone slammed someone into the boards on his way to the bench after the buzzer sounded then it would be a cheap shot. These dudes are fighters, and they fight under agreed upon rules. Daley broke those rules and could’ve really hurt Koscheck in the process. Boss said his body language looked like he knew the shot was coming. I don’t think that’s what happened. He turned with his hands down and got sucker punched square in the face, which happened to be Daley’s best shot of the night by the way. I do agree that I doubt Koscheck would/will press charges, but what if he ko’d him with that shot, or worse? Would it be assault then?
Did you watch the fight because he hit him in the chest. Nobody was hurt and I was not talking about hip checks in hockey.
Jesus. Some animals shouldn’t be allowed out of their cages.

Boxing and MMA are combat sports. However, the contact ends after the bell signifies the end of a round. At the end of a fight you’re no longer competing in a sanctioned bout, if you strike someone after the fight you’re knowingly and willingly striking[assaulting] someone. Only a hockey player going to the opponent’s bench and striking someone would be remotely comparable to hitting someone at the end of a match or round.

I think some of you are missing the bigger picture…what Daley did after the final bell is called ‘assault’ and is a criminal offence. Daley is lucky he wasn’t arrested (he may still be).
To my understanding, James Butler was imprisoned following his assault of Richard Grant (see link). FightinIrish, feel free to correct me if this isn’t accurate.
Kos is an irritating guy but Daley was a disgrace.
Yes, he was charged with aggravated assault. Other actions also carry criminal penalties in boxing; using illegal gloves and/or hand wraps.
wtf…if ron artest can play in the nba again, why cant daley fight in the ufc again? im not saying in a few months or even next year, but a lifetime ban for basically giving another guy a blackeye? gtfo, everyone makes mistakes in the heat of the moment - im not condoning it, but i do understand it. especially as that was the biggest fight of daley’s career and emotions were running high…these guys train to fight, not play croquet on the back lawn.
and that was some boring ass shit…watching daley’s inept takedown defense, to koscheck’s inept submissions, to daley’s survival on the ground made for some lackluster fighting…how about koscheck actually try to finish someone on the ground without the submission being handed to him (a la anthony johnson)

It was so light I didn’t even think he hit him in the chin.
After seeing what Daley calls power I bet Koscheck regrets not standing with him…
I wouldn’t read too much into the physicality of that cheap shot left hook. Like I mentioned earlier…Koscheck motioned as if he knew Daley would swing at him…and he had his guard up and chin tucked. Not to mention that Daley threw more of an arm punch…and out of tense frustration.
Koscheck won the fight by not standing with him…a very wise choice…even if it was three rounds of lay and pray. So I seriously doubt he regrets it. But I assume your comment was a little tongue in cheek.

kaisermetal…their has to be some thick sarcasm in your post.
Daley was actually quoted that he wouldn’t fight GSP if he had beaten Koscheck.
thanks for being the first one to perceive it.
I mean, people were really believing my thread about Oliva curling any MMA guy? about Arnold? What about Ronnie steamrolling through heavyweight division?
Actually after watching Terminator Salvation yesterday, i’m pretty sure Arnold can go the distance with Fedor.
