I got maximum vertical in minimum time back when it was advertised in slam about 10 years ago, its amazing how much of this information is still not taught by some strength coaches…
This tape came along w/ the program and i uploaded it for all

Thanks for mp3’ing that, now I have a digital copy
I remeber buying this program, and still have it from years ago. It cost a lot, and I never really did it…
Anyway back then I never understood all the stuff this tape talked about…can you imagine a jump obsessed kid understanding this stuff?!
But I do now
Nothing really new, or anything I don’t know in some shape or form.
talks about a lot of stuff from waveloading, depth jumps, leg strength balance etc
Says frontsquat should = 85% of fullback squat. If not you have weak hammies and lesser extent glutes. Just like I said. You can’t stay upright in a squat if you have weak hammies…
That’s why Good mornings have helped me heaps!
yea its amazing how when i first bougth this (was jump obsessed to) didn’t know what the hell chek was talkin about. Took me maybe 6 years til i was in college. Back then the program that came w/ this didn’t really coincide with what chek was talkin about. The program didn’t have front squats included or powercleans. However it was my first introduction to hang cleans, eccentric training(negatives) squat jumps with 30% weight, box jumps and box movement jumps. It also included dot drills, line and agility drills the days in between.
I would say it was overtraining especially for a 15-17 year old at the time. By the way im 6 4 and my first dunk was at 21… This program helped partially, but i had to tweak it to fit my own needs. I was too much of a back jumper and had no coordination.
if you liked this i can up a scan of the program design and possibly digitize two other tapes, one with barry sears talkin about zone diet and another about mental training for athletes
im surprised that the d/load number for this was at 39 and only 3 replies since this morning

I’d be interested in the mental training one. I haven’t had a chance to listen to this one yet, but I’ll post my thoughts when I do.
MAXIMUM VERTICAL IN MINIMUM TIME! LMFAO! I bought that shit ten years ago is was the biggest scam ever… first you had to buy the program… then when they sent you the program, you found out you had to buy a whole bunch of crappy equipment before you could start it… then once you bought the equipment, they sent you all that shit saying that the program would cause extreme overtraining unless you purchased their bullshit recovery supplements… then they came out with one supplement after another, everything from tribulus to liquid creatine… you just had to keep buying more and more shit in order to complete the program.
After you bought the program, equipment and supplements, they sent you an advertisement for this audio tape interview with Paul Chek. The purpose of the tape, of course was to market a bunch of stability training gimmicks (wobble boards and the like), which Paul recommended in the tape. And of course you just HAD to get all this shit to complete the program.
The program, by the way, was the most ridiculous shit ever and was obviously created by someone with NO training or coaching experience… it basically alternated “heavy days” of high volume weight training to failure (basically multiple-set HIT) with “recovery days” consisting of huge volumes of plyometrics. I seriously doubt that even a single person ever completed this program.

I hate to break this to you, but “Bill Heid” is a fictional character… an alias used by a scam artist.
Pop in the “maximum vertical” training tape and look at the intro! If you pat attention, you can see that the guy in the opening sequence is clearing jumping off of a platform… the whole thing is just a massive scam…
One of my goals in life is to find “Bill Heid” and strangle him with that squat belt.
at 16 remember watching the vid and i wondered why they didnt show the kid’s feet right before take off… it was very suspicious but i tokk allot of that shit with a grain of salt… also my first introductions to ankle isolaions and no i didnt buy the isolator i use a heavy dbell or a cable machine… never had shin splints again…
i actually think that company was sued… they put out a product called vertical blast 2000… what a gimmick! the same company put out some diet supplment that dissapointed a slew of customers. i think the companywas avs advanced vertical systems i believe
