Aww that lil cabin looks so cozy…
Glad you enjoyed yourself AND glad that you’re back. I think this place is a little too quiet when you’re not around…

He likes it, I’m finding it a bit boring to hear about. I’ve never been a big math person though.
Awe, thanks. blushing

OMG PEACHES! I added reverse flies to my little shoulder sets and OMGDAFUKK!?!? I could only use the EIGHT POUND DUMBELLS and it was Humblingly difficult. I ran this by someone beasty and was advised that ITS OK. Most people use surprisingly lower weights than you would expect on reverse flies and those rear delts respond to low weight as long as you Squeeze at the Top.
(I didn’t tell him that the 8LB DBs were too heavy to squeeze at the top!)
This is pretty much what the guys from O35 said.
The list of shoulder stuff to try:
Lots of reps and flexing. I keep over 12 reps/set and I’ll do 10 sets sometimes. Reverse Machine Flyes or Mountain Dog Swings/Destroyer Set Rear Delt Swings
one armed dumbell reverse flys. I always go light with many reps. I was doing the one-arm pullovers for a while, laying on your side on a bench, and pulling the DB up in an arch. that gave me a great ROM, but didn’t seem to hit the muscle like I liked.
I suggest you take DB’s, sit on the end of a bench, bend your torso forwards and lift your arms in a flying motion, that is a good move, and it is easy to control.
face pulls and band pullaparts x 1 billion
reverse db flyes, high rep
Yup, face pulls and I keep a band at my desk for pull aparts
Band stuff is very good. Also chest-supported on an incline bench, do read delt flyes with thumbs pointing toward the floor…the weight will be ridiculously light but that`s fine.
And for facepulls, I get a lot more rear delt if I pull high (eye height) with a heavyish weight. Or, pull in line with the shoulders and then do an external rotation (forearms go from pointing ahead to pointing at the ceiling)…this will be a light weight to accommodate the external rotation movement.
meadows swings
When you spill propane, you can set the ground on fire.

You might wanna get straps. I’m reluctantly facing the fact that 145 for RDLs is my max grip capability. Once I get past eight reps my HANDS and FOREARMS are SCREAMING and what gives first is my grip. boo.
Yeah, I’ve been thinking that too. I’ll see how it goes for a while then maybe think about straps. I may stick to 135 with a mixed grip for a while, I think I can do that with out assistance.

bow chicka wow wow
Nice shoulde write up! I am now realizing I hit shoulders on both Upper Body Days NOT just the day with the little shoulder ciruit. I do my chest supported tbar rows on the other Upper Body Day. I guess my lil shoulders arent JUST from genetics LOL.
Gonna do the flying thing and follow the rep/weight advice!

I may get a slip of some sort, we’ll see I’ve got a few days and we ate like beasts all weekend. We found a little pub on friday night.
Homemade bread with goat cheese and a baked garlic bulb. Yummy

Like hallowed said you want to squeeze the rear delts and feel them. That is the best way to get them to respond. Otherwise it’s too easy to use the lats, traps, rhomboids and etc moreso than the rear delts. Some or all will help with the lift anyways, but concentrated focus helps put as much of the stress in the muscle of focus as possible.
I tried the band pull aparts, and I think I like them. I need to try the rest of the suggestions, but I can see how other muscles creep in.
Oh, I totally do this with everything. My hip thrusts tend to involve my hands on my ass, lol.
I’ll pop over and see how this goes for you.

Hmm, I think I may need to do that. My delts are less than stellar compared to my other parts. I want 'em capped!
And running yoga flow? WTF is that?
I’ve been playing with a variety of different rear delt smovement. Man those little guys are weak. I don’t think I’ve ever awknowledged they existed.
Oh the running yoga flow is just a quick flow I yanked from the Internet. It’s posted a few pages back. Im really liking it.
Years ago a boyfriend gave me a shoulder routine that really burned up my shoulders.
It was a big superset.
pick a weight that you can do around 8-12 reps on the reverse flies.
Then start with the reverse fly, then stand up and do side raises, then front raises, then presses. This is a superset so no break in between exercises. Rest and repeat. You will feel so weak burning while pressing 5-8lbs db overhead. lol The way I always did them was to do as many reps as possible per exercise. Till it burns.
Anyways I do facepulls in the 12-15 rep range at 20lbs as an accessory to the OH press. Nice burn.
I will add this to my list of stuffs to try. Thanks!

Hair looks good. Are you a no 'poo-er? I don’t use shampoo anymore (well, dry shampoo sometimes - usually, though, I just wash it in water and use a little soda if it feels a bit greasy). Before I needed to shampoo my hair every two days and after washing it would be hopelessly fly-away. Now it’s great, manageable and healthy.
As for granola - yeah, I had to stop buying that. I’d just keep grabbing handfuls out of the bag and stuffing it in my mouth. BAD.
Yup, I started the no poo thing like 2 years ago now? I usually just rinse it with water every two weeks. If I’m feeling greasy Ill do a quick ACV rinse; maybe once a month. Overall I love not spending time dealing with my hair! It looks lovely and takes no time.
I can eat a whole box of granola as a meal without blinking. It’s like 3,000 calories all carb. ![]()

It was so cute and warm. It’s surprising how warm a little propane heater can keep a room!
Quiet is good, last time I went on a trip I came back to a log filled with shenanigans. The mods really do need occasional breaks ![]()

Well, it makes sense that shoulders are incorporated in all movements. I played with the band pull aparts more today, do like. I should try the other stuff though too.
You do experiments and then tell me what’s best?

Oh man, totally. Best meal though was sunday breakfast. We got up late, had hot cocoa mixed with coffee and waves of breakfast. First wave was meats and non-meat versions of bacon and sausage with oatmeal pancakes smothered in butter and maple syrup. Second round was toast with honey and cheesy eggs, with of course more hot cocoa coffee. Omnomnom.
