very very sweet on the RDL :)
My workout plan is there. What I’m doing now feels really good. Just need to add in some shoulder stuff and I’ve been exploring that.

What hasn’t been spot on is diet. I havent been keeping track of anything. What I have been doing is being aware of what I eat. I like to cook at home and pay attention to not too many carbs (granola, my Achilles heel!). It’s been working pretty well. I feel good. I’m not losing weight super fast but I haven’t really lost any weight Im still in the 165 area. I feel good though. So I don’t know. All that being said, im eating whatever I want this weekend in the woods then being super good next week. Tax guy invited me over for dinner, it’ll be date 6 and I’m getting way more comfortable with him  (I don’t mean to imply sexy time, but maybe a few bases; oversharing?) So I’d like to look good in my underwear next weekend.

On the RDL, once I get comfortable with the form on heavy ones I think I’ll be able to add weight.

And running yoga flow? WTF is that?
I’ve been playing with a variety of different rear delt smovement. Man those little guys are weak. I don’t think I’ve ever awknowledged they existed.
OMG I KNOW! I totally just had this realization also. I think I can’t even activiate my left one, AT ALL. Probably going to be an issue on increasing my bench. I’ve been adding so much rear delt stuff lately to get them up to snuff.

Facepulls pull me towards the weight stack though, so I can’t even do that as heavy as I’d like. REAR DELT ISSUES, DAMN THE WORLD.

OH edit: Enjoy date numba 6

I asked the guys for a list of what they do and got a lot of different movements to try. I’ll post the list. Maybe one will click for you?

Date 6 isn’t until next sat. I’m gone this weekend and it’s tax season.

thought of you grading papers, this made me chuckle.

Patches! That’s too funny, you got censored, I missed that part. I would actually smile but it hurts to do that.

Oh and yes you can please overshare about your date, just don’t get another XXX rating on your permanent TNation record.

Taking a picture of the back of your head, is way harder then you’d think it would be. But here’s my hair VS, it’s been really healthy lately.

I’ve been going to the gym too.

Th AM
Foam rolling, stretching, yoga

PM
D1 circuit.

Fri AM
Bootcamp

PM - going to play in the woods

I know, I’m a mess!

Oh, I probably already have that rating. The date isn’t until next week, I’ll be appropriately vague about it once it happens.

Fuchsia + dark hair = Extreme sensory overload!

<whatthehellisafuchsia?)

OMG! Marrying an accountant has been a dream of mine for years!! And i’m not even kidding. Its such a great profession.

Seriously, I don’t even know how you people RDL so much weight! Impressive, Peaches. Great work!

Oh the running yoga flow is just a quick flow I yanked from the Internet. It’s posted a few pages back. Im really liking it.
OMG PEACHES! I added reverse flies to my little shoulder sets and OMGDAFUKK!?!? I could only use the EIGHT POUND DUMBELLS and it was Humblingly difficult. I ran this by someone beasty and was advised that ITS OK. Most people use surprisingly lower weights than you would expect on reverse flies and those rear delts respond to low weight as long as you Squeeze at the Top.

(I didn’t tell him that the 8LB DBs were too heavy to squeeze at the top!)

You might wanna get straps. I’m reluctantly facing the fact that 145 for RDLs is my max grip capability. Once I get past eight reps my HANDS and FOREARMS are SCREAMING and what gives first is my grip. boo.

Like hallowed said you want to squeeze the rear delts and feel them. That is the best way to get them to respond. Otherwise it’s too easy to use the lats, traps, rhomboids and etc moreso than the rear delts. Some or all will help with the lift anyways, but concentrated focus helps put as much of the stress in the muscle of focus as possible.

Something you can try is touch proprioception. IE touch the muscle and try to flex it. Then you can work on that mind to muscle connection better when actually doing the exercises of your choice.

Oh and patch i will have to look into the palloff presses and see how i can incorporate them. Have fun this weekend.

Years ago a boyfriend gave me a shoulder routine that really burned up my shoulders.

It was a big superset.

pick a weight that you can do around 8-12 reps on the reverse flies.

Then start with the reverse fly, then stand up and do side raises, then front raises, then presses. This is a superset so no break in between exercises. Rest and repeat. You will feel so weak burning while pressing 5-8lbs db overhead. lol The way I always did them was to do as many reps as possible per exercise. Till it burns.

Anyways I do facepulls in the 12-15 rep range at 20lbs as an accessory to the OH press. Nice burn.

Hair looks good. Are you a no 'poo-er? I don’t use shampoo anymore (well, dry shampoo sometimes - usually, though, I just wash it in water and use a little soda if it feels a bit greasy). Before I needed to shampoo my hair every two days and after washing it would be hopelessly fly-away. Now it’s great, manageable and healthy.

As for granola - yeah, I had to stop buying that. I’d just keep grabbing handfuls out of the bag and stuffing it in my mouth. BAD.

Great weekend! Drank all friday night, spent all of sat shooting sporting clays (did the course with a 20 gauge Benelli but also shot a 12 for a bit) and did a lovely snowy 5 mile trail on sunday.

Now to do all the work I didn’t get done over the weekend.
