Patch2's Adventures

I would like to see more arch in the back…really stick your butt out there(no lesbo, ok maybe a little)

Also, I didn’t know you were a beginner runner starting on a treadmill? I thought treadmills were not the best for that anyway.

Don’t be me in a few years and be surrounded by people running because you CAN’t. If it hurts, don’t push it.

I have gigantic Q angles and still run (or well, I did, until I bust my foot, which is nothing to do with the Q angle). Large Q angles are more susceptible to ITB issues so make sure you foam roll and use a hockey ball or similar on the piriformis/glute medius. Lots of glute activations stuff too.

Also make sure you’re not heel striking - that puts massive strain on the knees. You should land on the mid foot. Light shoes (eg Nike Frees) help - big clunky shoes promote heel striking. Go to YouTube and look up Pose running videos.

Running on a treadmill is no substitute for running outdoors because your hamstrings don’t work as hard due to the belt moving. Try to get outside as soon as you can.

It’s a BAMF world all right
Go eat it!

tax guy sounds dreamy…

I don’t know if I can get more arch in my back and still concentrate on not dropping the weight and not bending my knees. For you, I will try, it may have to be a long term work on it thing. Why isn’t any of this shit easy?

Treadmill’s the only option right now. It’s winter, I live in Michigan and in a rural community, so no sidewalks. Once the snow is gone, I’ll run outside. I do like the outside.

Mimsy that’s exactly why I’m worried!

Good to know, I’ll start warming up for sure.

Yup, I’ve been running in my Merrels and paying attention to a midfoot strike. I think it comes easily to me since I’m barefoot a lot, and high heels require a forefoot strike or you wipe out.

Noted.

Woo, I’m really good at eating!

I hate treadmills. I’d rather run in a blizzard. Which I have done.

10 minute miles is a great pace.

Dirty old men!?!?

Brb unbuttoning a few extra buttons before I check out all the awesome!

That training thing that the log is supposed to be about, I did some of that. Not well at all yesterday, but I did it. Fuck, I was up at like 3am yesterday and just couldn’t go back to sleep so I went to the gym at 5 as usual. It was totally off though. When I don’t get enough sleep I become a menopausal woman, so I walked a bit and stretched and foam roller through hot flashes, coldness and the strong desire to do ab work through hitting people with the bar.

So then I went back at noon. Which feels insane. I really don’t want to change my morning routine, I’ve got the week planned out well, and am in the habit of being up at 5 and gyming from 5:30 to 6:30am. I can’t stay later because I’ve got morning stuff to do everyday, and I have evening classes from 5 to gym close. So if I want to lift on T&Th it has to be at lunch. Even though I was just at the gym. I figure the only people who are aware of me being at the gym all the damn time are people who work there and people who are also at the gym all the damn time, so whatever.

The workout sucked ass anyway, and there wasn’t even a hot ginger to stare at. Speaking of things to nom on, I’ve got another date with tax guy! He’s nice, he’s way bigger then me though, which is a little odd. I’ve stuck to the 5’6 -5’8 175ish range for the last 10 years, this guys 6’3 and 225, I’m not used to feeling like a midget. I’ll get to start breaking out the heels though.

On the breaking out the heels note, my knee is being odd and I’m not sure why. I’ve never had knee issues, but it’s a little achy and kinda just stopped working last night. I was walking and it just kinda gave. I had to catch my self on the railing, arm strength for the win. Is running going to give me knee issues, because I don’t want to run bad enough to forgo walking. I’ve got pretty substantial hips, is that an issue I need to be aware of, or just something I heard in cosmo?[/quote]

Hmn… how tall are you peaches? You may be nudging into the stealing my menz territory… you better be fice six or I’m sorry you are not allowed to date menz six feet and taller.

Personally my ideal is +100LBs on me and +6inches height on me minimum.

Haha i like em big and muscley… basically, unicorns.

What you want to do is pretend you are attracting a mate in the animal kingdom. I’m pretty sure Discovery channel calls the correct position “presenting” giggles

You and me both, Hallowed. I’m 5’7 but the guys who I seem to end up with are always 5’8-5’9 and don’t work out. Most of them have been lighter, and one was also a cross-dresser who couldn’t wear my clothes because they were too big for him. Fucking bitch. (Single currently in any case. Perhaps I should hang out in the O35s to meet some dirty old men).

You’re talking to a girl that keeps her bedroom door closed, turns on the humidifier and a space heater in the middle of winter in order to create her own tropical bubble.

I’m probably 5’6 in my boots, I’m just over an inch shy.

So, I haz a technical question. How does one impromptu kiss someone who’s head is out of reach? I’m used to easy accessible. Do you just never get to deliver surprise noms?

Yes, yes I over think everything.

So, this is an exercise I can only do when I’m the only one in the weight room?

Edgy would welcome you in his log with open arms, and most likely no pants.

Made a boatload of french onion soup this morning for a party my mom is having. Tastes so good but I get to smell like onion all day since you have to stand there and stir while they caramelize.

Then Yoga! Since my regular yoga lady is out making more people (maternity leave) they’ve been cycling through people. I do yoga for stretching and mobility, this woman was all strength. I spent a lot of time in childs pose sitting stuff out.

I did my complex after, shits gotta get done. Since it stormed last night it was super crowded with all the people who are normally outside. I set up in the corner and when people intruded on my space took a cue from Frenchie and just did my stuff uncomfortably close to them. This, all this space, I need it, and it’s mine!

Complex - 4 rounds
Reverse Hyper x12
Band Pull down x 12
Single leg bridge x 12 ea side - They feel better off the bench so I dragged one into the far corner with me. Mine, all mine, I need it.
DB MP 15lb x 12
R Crunch x 12

And then sweaty and smelling like onions I ran into tax guy, fml. We’re checking out a new bar in town tomorrow.

I had pizza for lunch, so I also shoveled my parents sidewalks. I’m calling it cardio, and maybe core work too.

DAMN, now this is the second time I see you making my favorite! do you also make it with the bread and cheese on top, some places use Mozarella which is too stringy but when they use provolone or even better Grier Cheese on top im in fucking heaven!

Lol, I made it last week and my mom was jelly so I had to make more for her. I go all out. Fresh bread and gruyere baked on top. It’s expensive cheese but totally worth it.

spelling my bad…I thought I had it right!
