It takes time and pain to learn to love to run. But, it is worth it. I hope it works for you. I do love it.
“I decided all I really had to do was get out there again. Run number two wouldn’t have to cover a long distance and it wouldn’t have to take a long time. If I could get out the door and leave the house behind under the thinnest guise of running, I could call it a success. As I got ready to leave, I realized it’s not the first but the second run that marks a milestone. The first run only has to occur to you. The second run leaves no room for doubt that you are actually attempting something. You don’t know what it is yet, but it’s real, and it’s deep, and it hurts your ankles.”
This is an excerpt from the newbie chronicles at runner’s world. I enjoy his series.

PERFECT view for the RDLs, far as I’m concerned.
How are you liking the CW program? That article is actually one of the first I read on here, actually, and agree, CW gets lots of shit, but I feel I’ve gotten some good information from his stuff.

It’s my first week so I don’t know yet. I’ll get back to you in 2 weeks on this one.[/quote]
See, in my mind it’s already been like, 3 months. This is a perfect example of why I have zero patience.

AWESOME series, I just read half of them in a whirl. He’s a great writer.
"No mile today. At least I got out. I begin to think of an exit strategy–something like hips or ankles. Knees are good. Everyone will understand if I say I loved running but just couldn’t take it on the old knees. That will sound better than saying, I loved running but just couldn’t take it on the old, whole entire damn body. I loved running but had to stop because it made me really tired. "
This bit here is what got me through 2 miles of mostly walking and a bit of running today! It makes me tired is no excuse. I can choke out a grown man!

Well it’s been a week and a half now, so I can say I think I like it. I’m still in the debilitating DOMs of a new program stage.
I should probably do some sort of progress picture or measurement sort of thing, but I don’t really feel like it right now. I can do a shot of my ‘runner’ outfit. I may not be a runner, but I can look like one (I think).
