Dude, you don’t want to be the guy that goes to class to hit on girls. Go to class to feel better, maybe catch a few images for the mental Rolodex (is that still a thing?), but don’t go looking for sexy time.

Ha! That reminds me of one of my favorite stories from studying abroad. I’ll just say I now know that not ALL beaches in Australia are topless.
A favorite story? You must tell it!

Speaking of boobies. I went bra shopping today. I’ve gone up a size? I blame the lats. I’m now a 36D, ugh. I did end up with a nice bra. I’m going to throw in an attention whorey boob shot, because at this moment, they’re looking good!
For the single leg stuff, I use slidies (valslides, to be exact—but furniture sliders work the same) to help. They give you the benefit of the unilateral work but allow a leg down to help balance.

I <3 the boobs to the bar story, by the way.
Hmm, I have valslides at the bottom of a drawer somewhere, maybe I should find them and see what I can make happen. Thanks for that reminder!

I ended up doing some subbing on W & Th, so no workouts. I did get a massage yesterday. I can now move my neck. Yipee! I could definitely tell the spots I need to pay attention to while foam rolling that I haven’t been lately. My lats near the underarms, I don’t think I’ve ever roller there and fuck me did that hurt. She spent most of the time on my neck/ traps, so I think I’ll splurge and go again soon to deal with my calves. Throwing heels back into the mix hasn’t helped the knots.

Bootcamp this morning, nothing overly special. Just another reminder of crap I need to get better at!

My sister teaches the yoga class at the gym…

There would be no looking for sexy time, she would be picking on me.

Glad the massage helped. Sore necks suck.

Oh, dude, then do it.

Is it bad that cat/cow stretch HURTS???

or is it a clue that I need more of it?

It hurts? That’s not good! Are you doing anything to stretch your back? Even just laying over the foam roller for your thoracic spine?

If it hurts, I don’t know what you should do. I don’t want to say do it, and then have it make it worse. Maybe someone who knows more will pop in.

it’s hard to distinguish between pain/soreness.

I haven’t been doing ANY stretching. None.

bad bad bad.

WOW…

Sat AM:

Yoga! I asked about the leg when balancing. It’s supposed to be straight but not locked out. That makes it was harder to hold.

Bench 45x5 75x5 85x2x5 95x2
I hadn’t benched in a while and just wanted to see where I was at.

Lat Pull down - I don’t know the weights on the machine, I just did 5x5 progressing up in weight until the last one felt hard enough.

Thanks… I think?

Yeah, there are actually exercises you SHOULD do to help heal a herniated disc. Look em up! Also see a doc. I know, i know, but you really should.

Good idea on the lat pulldown! I once did a program where they asked for 3x1. You can go reasonably heavy with those, and they can translate to pullups for sure!

He obviously saw your pic from the previous page, Patch

My neck can be a real old bitch. Levator scapulae is always the culprit. (Although I do have some crepitus in the neck in any case. I blame it on having a big old head).

Nice rack.

Yeah, Betty, all those things you know you should be doing, do them!

Yeah, it’s the end of the semester, I can feel the need to have a program overhaul soon. I think I’m going to dick around for a while. Then re-evaluate once the semester starts.

That’s exactly what’s been killing me. I don’t think my head’s that big though. What do you do to get it to let go?

These guys also hate being part of my body! Ugh

Thanks for the compliments Busy and Choc!
