pants for people with big legs

Their was a post earlier with someone who said their legs were to big to wear normal pants. I was wondering if anyone else here who has big legs has any info on brands of pants that have a good “big leg” fit.

We can do this in catagories too like:

Jeans
Dress pants
Others

For me I like Liz Claiborn dress pants. And Levi’s 569’s for jeans.

I’ve been complaining about this for years. In fact, my brother and I jokingly talked about creating a new brand of jeans known as Phat Ass jeans for guys like us.

Anyway, try going to T.J. Max, Marshalls, K.G. Superstore, or other similar store. They usually have off brand jeans that are big (not always gangsta wear, but often) or large brand name jeans. For example, I recently picked up some Nautica brand jeans that are plenty big. I also picked up some Billabong’s and Outkast (yes, as in the rappers) jeans that are extremely comfortable.

Option #2 - Old Navy. They have a lot of jeans that will fit great. Their carpenter jeans are perfect as are their cargo pants.

Try those and see if you have some better luck.

I’ll second the Old Navy vote as far as casual pants go.
Silver Tab jeans have worked for me as well.
Dress pants are becoming a problem for me too. It is hard enough finding 30/30 or 30/29 (w/i)pants as is. Now I am noticing, as did a female coworker, that they are getting snugger on the leg. Not a great look for the office or Sunday Mass.
I’ve almost always had the issue with my calves being too big to pull some jeans and pants cuffs past them but now my quads are geting bigger as well.
Options and suggestions are most welcome indeed…

Never found any jean that fits without the waste being huge. I have 36x34 Levi 569’s now that the waste have about four inches of breathing room. Legs fit though.

As for pants, I jumped into some flat front pants from Eddie Bauer that aren’t too bad in the waste. Same thing though, 36x34 and a big waste until I washed them about 20 times. Now they’re getting too short and tight in the leg. Pleated pants simply don’t work. I’ve tried athletic cut, triple pleats, but they still pull and look stupid. Of course, I’ve got a squatter’s ass to go with my big legs.

It just sucks, anyway you look at it. If you get pants that are big enough for your legs, you typically look like a skater punk. NOT that there’s anything wrong with that…

Old Navy - Wide Leg jeans

Just please dont bring out the Zubaz pants. Some people still wear those at my gym.

HAHAHAHAHA…zubaz…how 80s can you get…do they still make them
talk about some fugly fashion

Bugle Boys used to make cheap casual pants that were gib in the legs… but I can’t find them anymore…

This is a great thread… I have a 31 inch waist, but wear 36-38’s because of a big, high ass, and thick tie-ins (sprinter)…

Hope more info comes along…

Zubaz!!- LOL!! That was funny!! F’n Zubaz!

Du-rags, neon-colored string tank tops, neon-colored high top Nikes, that was awesome!
Oh man, gotta love the 80s…

I remember in HS there was this fat, ugly kid Scott, who used to white and red Zubaz w/ the NY Giants logo. He’d waddle around school in them, looking like a total tool…

Of course, I was sartorially challenged in HS too but I never dressed THAT bad.

i’ll second Old Navy.

I also have some Haggar Black Label

Here’s a tip for some of you: buy dress pants with adjustable waists. You get more flexibility out of them, esp when bulking.

Just a thought

I’ve found that using a fanny pack for a belt really works well. Plus I have a place to hold my Rogaine!
