that’s what it comes down to I think. There’s just something weird about them and it’s not just a result of getting older.

At least I hope it’s not! I don’t want my face to look like an ape and my skin to go all waxy and my gut to bloat and my limbs wither! Aarh!
Just a question…but what do you think years of tanning will do to you?

I know guys who literally live at Darque tan. If they look 50 @ 35, that’s why.
c’mon man, tanning damage and what these guys have doesn’t look the same
That depends on who you are speaking of. Gh doesn’t cause rough skin tone and features. If anything it should improve elasticity in skin cells.

Extreme leanness isn’t exactly pretty up close either.

fair enough, I still think these guys have been on more than just sunbeds…

No need to be rude, if you didn’t know the answer you could’ve just kept quiet. I’m seeing a lot of guys besides Nasser and Jay with cro-magnon like skulls.
and I hope to be an ER doctor soon, let’s hope I do well on these boards…

I wasn’t rude. WHO do you see with acromegaly? I made a statement that you are judging a biological issue which would imply some experience doing that at all.

Palumbo!

Urgh, that’s rough. That’s like acromegaly x10000

I’m with Prof X… That leather face/crappy skin look can definitely be attributed to heavy tanning. Especially with the use of drugs to elp you tab more/easier (melatonin and what not)

IGF and insulin are not the same except in sharing part of their name.
There are many IGFs and GH is “thought” to work in large part via igf release, science is still out.
That’s part of why this topic is so interesting and a shame that it is belittled by posting bad pics of bodybuilders you don’t like, there is some literally unknown to science shit jumping off.
We should biopsy palumbo.

^ right, that’s why I asked about “insulin” types

I think Ronnie looks massive still, not as aesthetic as Yates, but in the end it’s just impossible to impress people after being one of the most muscular humans ever.

It looks like Palumbo has had several coats of varnish slathered all over his body.

blah blah blah, yeah some serious injuries

he has an interview with pulumboguy

it’s the jaw that freaks me out most. You can cover your body with clothes, but your face is a different story

Easy fix: just get a sex change, stop eating hot dogs, covert to Islam, wear burka. Problem solved.

Or grow a beard… Either way, that should fix your problem.

Do you have any idea how long ID has been involved in the industry and how many physiques he’s seen in this time?

I already have a beard. The beard is the mark of the powerful man.

Brickhead, do you even workout?

Same with Iron Dwarf. Not meaning to be rude, these are just things I have always wondered when reading your posts.

k thanks bai <3

Iron Dwarf is actually a pretty big tiny guy. 160ish @ 5’4" and old with quadriceps tendinitis is pretty respectable.

Yes, I do work out and have been following bodybuilding for 16 years.

Continue to wonder.

Also, I’d like you to re-post something I’ve said that would raise the suspicion of not being involved in lifting and nutrition. Also, please explain how pointing out glaringly deformed physiques indicates someone might not be involved.

Thanks.

Even the great Ronnie Coleman is getting it.
Nope.

That’s called “getting old and having more injuries than you can count on all your fingers and toes.”
Not every old guy looks like that and not every old ex competitor, who have also delt with injurie, looks like that so there is definitely more to it than old age and injuries.

But I do agree that it is partially attributed to the aging process.
Alas, but Ronnie

1- he doesn’t train anymore

2- he doesn’t eat the same away anymore

3- he doesn’t care for any of this

4- He doesn’t have the money to support any decent kind of shape

while “every other ex-bber”:

1- still train

2- still eat in a good fashion

3- still care about how they look

4- have ways to pay for their TRT and anti-aging (hgh) therapy to look good and healthy into their 60’s
Almost all of this^^ is your opinion/speculation.

Like I said before, this look is obviously due in part to the aging process BUT to say that years/decades of steroid abuse isn’t the main culprit is laughable.
Which part am I speculating ?

Yates is considered by most an abuser.
Go look at his pic a few pages and answer me, does he have Palumbolism ?

I’m not saying it isn’t due to abuse but some of this accusations are getting stupid, Coleman is old and has his share of injuries and health problems, he isn’t training (not at least beyong the “longevity” realm), yet people here are comparing him to Palumbo ? People are just throwing names here. I’m questioning the stupidity of the thread and some posts, not that drug abuse will fuck you up.

I don’t even know why I still care.
It’s news to me that Ronnie isn’t training anymore. Really?

True, perhaps what Ronnie is going through is not “Palumbolism” (just what is the definition anyways? Distended stomach? Unusually atrophied limbs? Hell, I don’t know…guess I made an assumption). And I personally believe it is definitely old training injuries that have caught up with him; especially something that might be due to the nerves (even in 2006 it showed on stage; was really really disappointed this prevented him from winning his 9th Olympia).

I still strongly believe (but do NOT have proof):

 1. He is still using steroids, and not just “replacement” dosages
 2. He is still training as hard as he can within his limitations
 3. He is still trying to eat a bodybuilding diet as best he can
