manny pacquiao was born dirt poor… thats why he’s a humble guy… this quote captures the attitude of the u.s vs any other third world country. Money Mayweather… hahaha Fucking embarrassing.

If you wanna lose your money, go for money!!!
Although Mayweather is arrogant, I dont see this quote that way…I just think Floyd wants to hear Manny say he wants the fight himself. Everyone does talk for the guy it seems like he’s easily persuaded by managers, trainers, promoters. that a side I respect how humble this guy is, and his humongous heart…He has made a fan of me…It just so happens he stands in the way of My all time favorite boxer.

Because you NEVER talk boxing except when a Pacquiao fight is coming. I know EXACTLY what kind of fan you are.

I have fighters I like, such as Ward, Gatti, Hatton, etc. and they’re brawlers for the most part.

Ali and Frazier are in my top 5 too. Are they overrated? Run along and look them up on wikipedia before you comment, I know you have to.

If there is anybody that should be getting his ass kissed, its pacquiao… he just did something no boxer has ever done in the history of the sport. so stfu!!!
This has nothing to do with Pacquiao, and everything to do with you being a fucking flamingly retarded asshole on this forum.

It’s not much of a change from every other post you make, so I’m not surprised, but don’t play it like I hate Pacquiao when in fact I’m only hoping that your ceiling falls in on you while you’re typing.

I would like too see the fight at 140, Pac going up and Mayweather coming down. And have both fighters MAKE weight for the fight. Not taking anything away from Mayweather he is a Pro and I would like the fight to atleast start even and not give Floyd a little edge with the weight and all.

(relating this to Mayweathers fight agaiant Marquez and Mayweather reportedly weighing at time of fight close to 157 to Marquezes 140)

I am excited to see the fight.

Mayweather was 147 for the fight against marquez…and they should fight at 147 Manny is the welterweight champion now and should fight at that weight. One more thing, that was also bullshit cotto had to come down to 145 for his belt! thats fuckin ludacris! im sure freddy “the joke” roach will try to give manny every advantage like he always does. If they go below 147 its cuz FREDDY, not Manny, is scared

And apparently his own accountant too. Actually I wish Manny would step up to the plate and fire That Fucker in his camp. I saw him just kind of walking past the camera at the weigh-in and the postfight interview. After that 24/7 I get the feeling it’s going to be a game of “can you spot That Fucker” anytime Manny Pacquiao is on TV.

Oh, and the fight should be pretty good too. I would pick Floyd, but root for Pacman. I think Floyd has the talent to beat anyone, but you have to actually fight anyone to be called the greatest and get the respect. I think that is the part Floyd is missing. People expect him to beat Pacquiao yes, and they expect him to beat everyone else, which is why they call him names when he doesn’t push and test himself. That and the disingenuous trash talk.

I noticed Mayweather Sr. getting in on the act. He isn’t training Jr. again is he?
Not head trainer, he’ll probably help out though. I think for Floyd’s last fight he just watched him train and offered advice.

That would be below the welterweight limit, it couldn’t be a title fight. That would also be an advantage for Pacquiao. Anytime there’s a catchweight in title fight it’s ridiculous, for title fights you should just weigh in at the limit for the division. I can’t think of Floyd ever ballooning up after the weigh in anyway, at least from my memory. He always only gains a few pounds, usually no more than 5.

I agree.

But Mayweather isn’t even gonig to try to come in at 140, or 144. He clearly can’t make that weight anymore- if he could have, he would have for the Marquez fight.

147 will have to be the limit. That’s the only way that I could justify Floyd not taking the fight- if Roach says, “144 or nothing.”

I think Roach would only show interest in a 145 catch weight, anything lower and Floyd can honestly say that it’d be unfair. I’m not really sure if Roach would worry about a catchweight with Floyd though, Cotto puts on a lot of weight after the weigh in while Floyd doesn’t. Even with no catchweight they’d probably weigh within 1-2 pounds of each other at the 2nd weigh in.

I think the biggest issue will be ring size.

Bob Arum already said it would be at 147, not 145, because knowing Floyd, he’d come in at 147 anyways.

I agree it should be at 147, real welterweight. The Cotto fight should have been too, but I don’t think it impacted the fight. I think it was more psychological and strategy to take him out of his comfort zone. Cotto didn’t look bad for losing the two pounds and he looked way bigger than Manny on fight night. I also thought Floyd got a bit more than 5Lb bigger in his fight against Marquez. If it’s 147 it doesn’t really matter though because Manny won’t and shouldn’t try to gain much weight and he’s been smaller in his last three fights and it hasn’t hurt him. I don’t think Floyd is going to try to use his weight and strength to fight in close anyway. That would be a terrible strategy against Pacquiao.

I think he weighed 148 at the second weigh in.

Hopefully Floyd will break his brittle right hand on Pacs head in the 1st round so it’ll be useless for the rest of the fight. The one thing that gives Pac a hard time is a good jab, and Floyds got one of the best in the business. Also he’s one of the best defensive fighters since Pernell Whitaker.

It’ll be a fun fight, IF it happens in May.

Lol that happened with Hernandez, he still won that fight though. You better hope he hurts his rotator cuff in training, that really hurt in the first Castillo fight.

I hope you’re not comparing Carlos Hernandez to Pacquiao.

In this fight you’re going to have the known vs the unknown. We all know what Floyd brings to the table. There’s no need to type it, there’s just too much he can do. But with Pacquiao, he brings something new to every fight. Whether it’s combinations, footwork, head movement and now power and the ability to take a hit at a higher weight.

If I’m Pac, I’m going to hit Floyd everywhere. His head, shoulders, arms, and lats. I believe Pac will match Floyds speed because against Cotto, he was planting his feet more to have more power.

But the ability to dictate this fight still goes to Floyd, so right now, I’ll take Floyd by split decision.

Any self-respecting Jersey boy is going to go with the Philly shell kid.

They are saying the fight did 2 million ppv buys and the Mayweather Pacman fight could bring in 3 to 4 million!!! There are some interesting matchups in the future too. Cotto vs plasterless Margarito, Hatton vs Marquez. Boxing is starting to make a comeback, Brock Lesnar may never fight again (jk) life is good.
