This weekend. Picks? Thoughts? I like Clottey but he’s not much different than Cotto, so I see Pac winning this one.
I think Clottey is durable and has good D, so I see him surviving to lose an UD to Pacman.
Pacquiao wins KO by the 10th.
If/when clottey gets hurt i don’t think he’ll be in retreat mode as much as cotto was, so my money’s on clottey going down earlier.
I think Freddie Roach has it about right. Pacquiao will break him down with body shots.
As a Pac fan, I still see him winning a KO via round 8. But I gonna be honest, I think Clottey will be a bigger threat to him than Cotto/Hatton ever was. Clottey will be the biggest fighter Pac has ever faced and he’s got definite power.
Plus, Irish actually picking Pac is quite unnerving.
Pac by KO in no less than 6 rounds, 8-10 sounds more realistic. I’m starting to think he is a cyborg sent back from the future to make betting on boxing easy.
I got pacman barely pulling out a decision, Clottey seems hungry for this fight and looks to have what it takes to push PacMan to the limits. In the end he will be overmatched by Pac losing the fight in the mid to late rounds.
Gotta support the Southpaw
I see Pac by decision. Roach on PTI said he expects Pac to come in at 149 and I believe he said Clottey to be between 160-165. So if Clottey is able to lean on Pac and wear him down with that extra weight, Clottey can make it a close fight but still lose.

My exact thoughts after watching PTI
FightinIrish picking Pacman? Please don’t jinx the man.
I’m going with Pacquiao, but I think Clottey is going to be pretty damn tough. I’ve only ever seen him against Cotto, but he looked really hard to hit from what I remember.
I have a lot of confidence in the Pacquiao team though, I know Roach has a plan for Clottey.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see this fight until NEXT weekend. So i’m going to try to hear nothing of it until then.
I See Tyson/Douglas written all over this one… hopefully I’m wrong.

I am hearing alot of those kinds of comparisons, but realistically, the way I look at it, Cotto is a better fighter than Clottey. Maybe his chin isn’t as good as Clottey’s, and maybe Clottey’s hands are a LITTLE faster, but Cotto is a more powerful and throws waaaaay more punches.
Clottey doesn’t have good movement, and is going to be a stationary target for Pac to hit. And, on top of that, although Clottey does have a good straight right, he’s not a big jabber. Zab Judah was able to land a lot of shots on him.
So I think it’s going to be a good fight, but I’ve picked against Pac a lot of times- but if he can beat Cotto, he can beat Clottey.
Alright enough of this let’s talk about a REAL fight, who you takin’ Mayweather or Mosley?
Just kidding, dont get all ass-hurt Pac fans Im sure Clottey will make it interesting. But really…

I’m taking Mayweather, but I’m biased as he’s my 2nd favorite fighter after Pac (I don’t consider the once great RJJ a boxer anymore). But damn, didn’t Mosley look great against Margarito. Yes, I know Margarito and Mayweather are two different fighters, but Mosley looked on point. Maybe he can do it again.
Also I see no comparison between Tyson/Douglas. Tyson was KING in my day, with no flaws. There’s no one today with that kind of persona.
watching undercard now b/w middleweights duddy and medina. round 6…
pacman all the way!
Best part of the whole fight was Pacman coming in to Eye of the Tiger. The rest of the fight was rather anticlimactic.
The whole event was boring as hell. Even the undercards was the worst set of fights I’ve ever seen.
Well, a win is a win. And one of the announcers made a very interesting point IMO… If Pac fights mayweather, it will be reminiscent of this fight - him just covering up most of the time. SO… I think a date with Mosley would be a better bet in terms of fire works, cuz Shane wouldn’t mind throwing down with Pac.
