A champ is on PEDs? Now that’s a novel thought!

Of course - let me set up my completely legit IHS (Internet Hearsay Steroidar) first.
Then we can debate this scientifically over, I dunno, 30 thread pages.
Sound good?

I think that Evandar Holyfelt is also on steroids brah.
So is Larry Merchant. I mean, 80 years old and challenging Mayweather to a fight?

It’s all the juice brah.

who thinks marquez is on drugs?

his strength and conditioning guy was involved in balco

he is nearly 40 and is much much bigger than he used to be

he has moved up alot of divisions and is delivering knock out punches

and who thinks pac is clean?

alot of the above can be applied to him also

lots of boxers getting done for drugs lately too

please do not say i am disrespecting them or some BS it is a completely legit line of questioning
Seriously, what is the point of this post?

if he is on drugs then it is all bullshit?

dont know why the retards above are complaining

was rooting for pacquiao but can’t feel bad at all for the winner, a man that dedicated his entire life t boxing(can’t say the same for pac) anyone wo disagrees about them not fighting a 5th time is insane!!! this only lasted 6 rounds and was by far the most exciting fight in years. to those who say manny should retire: come on!! he was winning the fight and had broken jmm nose up until he was put to sleep by him. He hasn’t declined at all. hopefully getting knocked the fuck out! will help him understand that he has to do one thing at a time to be great.

edit: he has declined but certainly isn’t Roy Jones JR… who by the way is an excellent commentator!

Marquez is a great fighter. It will be good to hear his name mentioned with the likes of Morales and Barrera of great Mexican fighters of the last decade and a half.

I’m with you guys. Big fan of both fighters, but Marquez really deserved this win. The last decision for Paq was a joke.

No idea if he (they) is (are) juicing or not. But the idea that throwing a knockout punch, as ‘not a knockout puncher’, is good evidence that he is juicing seems to be stretching logic to me. Counter punching is all about timing. A perfectly timed, weighted and judged punch, by a fighter of Marquez’ quality when Pacquiao rushed in, would knock out a much bigger fighter than Pac, who lets face it, has been on the canvas before.

I truly didn’t see the point of Yolo’s post, but I don’t think Pac juiced. Not in the last 2 fights at least. It may have been possible but it seems the last 2 pacman seemed more his age. Speaking of which steroids plays a huge factor, in more ways then one. From recovery which allows for better training, more training, attention span, energy levels, focus, and power. Saying it wouldn’t have an great advantage for Marquez is crazy. I just haven’t said so because I didn’t see the fight so I can’t form an opinion to whether it was luck of the draw or Marquez was better then he ever been. Not that he needed to be since he won the other fights in my eyes.

Yup, Manny walked straight in to a big right from a seasoned pro, -doesn’t matter what the weightclass is you’re going down

I can care less if Marquez was on the juice. And I’m not saying he was, but he trained 100% to kill Pac. He knocked my boy out. Cold!

Damn, I’m still sad. lol

Juice is good … Mkay

When I hit 60, I’m so juicing!

Actually that’s most likely what happened. I almost teared up myself. Just like when RJJ got KO’d by Tarver.

To me it’s like this: Mexicans have Chavez, Barrera, Morales, Marquez and now Canelo. African Americans, have Ali, Ray Leonard, Hagler, Tyson, RJJ, Mayweather JR, and now Broner. My point is there will always be a top Mexican or African American fighter down the line. When’s the last time a Filipino fighter has been as exciting as Pacquiao or going to be as exciting? I can’t think of one off hand. Donaire is good, but he isn’t at Pac level, not even close.

I can say Pac put Filipinos on the map.

I doubt it. I was in a bar with 10 Pinoys or so. Not a tear was shed, lol.

There was disappointment, mind you, but no one lost their shit when the knockout came. What was cool was that most of them applauded Marquez when the result was announced.

Ah there will be plenty of Filipino fighters coming up. The success of Pacquaio and Donair virtually assure that in a decades time, there will be many more Filipinos in the sport.

And I’ve got to be honest - I’m truly happy his fans have been shut up. Guys like you are good fans, and know boxing, but there are many, many Filipinos that I’ve seen on other sites who literally thought he was invincible, did not know boxing, and were totally illogical about everything relating to it. If they were crying, then good.

And one last thing - those guys you mentioned aren’t Afro-Americans, they’re Americans. RJJ, Floyd, Leonard - these are guys that fought in the Olympics for America, and regardless of their skin color they’re American men that ALL of us root for. Just to clarify

True. I thought I was being politically correct. I’ve heard a person get offended when a person used black instead of Afro-American.
