Word of warning to everyone, don’t watch Grown Ups 2. Don’t do it. Grown Ups is actually better than Grown Ups 2, and not just because of the curse of the sequel. I’ve not felt worse this year than when I saw Grown Ups 2, After Earth didn’t even make me feel as bad, and I had some cold reasons to hate everything about After Earth.

Ah, dang it.
Was planning to see GU2 this weekend.
Well there’s always The Heat, with the fabulous Sandra Bullocks.

My mother torrented (allegedly) The Heat today because she has a movie night every week with her neighbour, who is also equally aged.
Normally I don’t watch any of the movies they do with them because they either pick something I don’t like/aren’t interested in or I know they’ll ruin one that I do, but I caught a couple scenes of The Heat, it actually didn’t seem too bad. Didn’t seem like a crowning achievement in comedy, but I wasn’t quite turned off as with things like Identity Thief or Miss Congeniality, could be worth a go.

I would need to see Eva Longoria walking in to the movie holding a bag of weed a bottle of baby oil and wearing only a t-shirt and panties…with Sofia Vergara waiting with seats holding a sign saying Free Blowjobs…before I went and paid to see either of those Grown Ups movies.

Take it with some varying reliability, I only saw a couple of what I can assume were the funny scenes. And my mum loved it, but she also saw “The Call” with Halle Berry and loved that too, so I’m about 4% on ever really trusting her with movies.

The worst part is knowing how bad it’s going to be, like movie D-day. I went into that fully expecting what I got, and knowing that at no point was it going to get better than it had been, I grieve for those who had known no better.

This is the Thing. I’m almost positive that Adam Sandler is pulling a Eddie Murphy on the world. He has a contract for so many flicks and it does not matter he will get X amount of cash and he just does not give a fuck. This ass had me laughing to tears all the way up to that Fuseball movie. Then it was done. Its like is saying Fuck you America eat me. I’m getting paid.

There are maybe two movies that Adam Sandler has been some way involved with that I enjoy, they are Punch-Drunk Love and The Wedding Singer. I very much dislike anything he’s directed or written the script for otherwise, my very young self used to like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, but I think I’m done with those because of the whole idea of Adam Sandler now.
Ah, come on now! You Don’t Mess with The Zohan was so much fun. I laughed from the very first minute till the end. The cat kicking game brought me to tears and my abs hurt so much from laughing so hard. Lmfao!!!
YDMWTZ is one of few Sandler’s I’d watch over and over again. I loved Click as well. The trailer was kinda misleading, as the movie turned out to be more of a tear-jerker than a comedy.

Pretty much how I felt. The other day I noticed that Billy Madison was one so tuned in since “Its a classic! I cant NOT watch this!”. Just didnt do anything for me. He is old news now and has used up all the “magic” he ever had to his name.
What about Spanglish?
watched the Rim online and I must say…POWER RANGERS! Giant robots battling giant monsters? The fight of the ages. Only disappointment was that I was betting on a sex scene that never happened.

This movie is not something that a t.v. screen or monitor can do justice on.
Plus it needs more money.
Hey, when a movie looks good enough I totally watch it in theater. But if Im skeptical Ill watch it at home. RED 2 looks good so Ill be watching that today in theater.

Red2 in the theater and Pacific Rim on a Computer screen. Opposite Day?
When I first saw the trailers for this, I had very low expectations. Didn’t interest me at all. I saw it today just based on the comments in this thread and it was damn entertaining. Everything a summer popcorn movie should be.

What is this world that we live in? (Also, Red 2 is really not good. Substantially worse than the first, and I liked the first.) I would imagine that Pacific Rim could not be fully appreciated on anything other than a cinema screen, it’s visuals are way too much of a driving force to be fully appreciated on a small lower quality screen. I’m under the impression Man Of Steel would be the same, but Pacific Rim especially.

you wont be surprised then to know that when the girl I took asked me what I thought all I could come up with was “Meh”.
