Pac vs Mosley Prediction

I think it’s disappointing that boxing writers try to bash Mosley for his performance, this was never a legitimate fight. Pacquiao could have faced Marquez or Berto yet he chose Mosley and most boxing writers don’t even acknowledge that he’d a choice. This fight was purely a way to get more for a Pacquiao fight whether it’s at HBO or Showtime.

It’s just another case of writers being in the pockets of promoters.

I heard that Berto’s team said they wanted one more fight before he fought Pac. Marquez wanted to fight Pac, but not at 147. Everyone saw how Marquez looked at 147 when he fought Mayweather. And of course there are the promoters screwing this up.

I didn’t want Pac to fight Mosley because he’s too damn old now. The only reason why Arum chose Mosley is because the fair weather boxing fan gets the different Marquez fighters mixed up and Berto is not well known.

Arum will try to make as much money off Pac before he retires.

Who would have thought it would take David Haye to bring out the best in Wladimir… in terms of smack talk?? The supposedly dull, lifeless Ukrainian has been crackin them out like popcorn at recent conferences. Here’s a few choice quotes taken trom Ring Magazine…

"He thinks he can bully me and control me but he can’t. That’s why when he tells me to do this, sit here, go there, I am not listening to him.??

All rather tame, especially compared with the 20-minute speech that followed from Klitschko, which, though full of repetitive over-the-top taunts, also contained the occasional below-the-belt shot.

“David, I’ve been reading your Hayemaker magazine. I think it would sell better if you changed the H to a G”, boomed Klitschko, much to the horror of Sky Sports, which was live on air at the time.

“I understand you are focusing on your fight, but your speech was a little bit weak. I was expecting you to do more because you want to be an actor in Hollywood and that takes a little bit more to get over there. But you have to focus on your sport, I know.”

Then came the real killer punchline, with Klitschko promising his older brother, Vitali, a doctor in sports science as well as the current WBC world champion, would be willing to counsel Haye before or after the unification showdown.

"There is a lot of pressure on David, but if he can’t handle it, he knows Vitali, who is a doctor, is always there to take care of him, quipped Wladimir. “And he’ll do it for free”.

Not quite, better numbers against Mosley than what Mayweather did would mean Pacquiao could get bigger guaranteed purses and better deals in general. And with a fighter able to command such deals Top Rank would gain more leverage with a network or networks such as dates for fights and things of that nature.

Mosley was always going to be the opponent, it’s just a poor match up so it’s announced in a roundabout way.
