Hi, just a quick disclaimer—I’m not an expert when it comes to health or weight loss, and I don’t usually comment on threads asking for advice for that reason.
That being said, I did try it under my doctor’s recommendation. I started at the third level, though I don’t recall the exact dosage. My doctor suggested that if I could tolerate it, I should go ahead and try it, so I did. It helped suppress my hunger, and I had some success in the beginning. However, I eventually stopped using it because I needed to focus on getting my long-term habits in order. I was on it for 3 months I have the scripts for the higher amounts my doctor wasn’t fussed where I started.
You should just go with the full 2mg dose without tapering, chances are you’ll be perfectly fine. If you do, please report back how it went for you. I’d be genuinely curious if you’re willing to experiment.
Bud, everyone (mostly) here is always very willing to help and offer advice. Don’t be a child. Guys here have a ton of great information. The only thing about asking advice from gym rats is no one is going to sugar coat anything.
@Valky
Semaglutide isnt like steroids where more = more results.
You take it to reduce hunger.
So you start at .25/wk and itll signal your body to not feel as hungry.
Once that stops working (because your body adapts to the drug, unlike steroids), you’d increase to .5/wk. Often this takes about a month or more. Many dont ever need to increase dose.
Oh, while you’re at it - see if you can get your hands on some anastrozole because you’re acting like a bitch.
So lots of simple answers say yes and they did it, instead we head to start with some philosophical mambo jambo from some roid heads lol.
Oh and yes I amped my dosing up quick, just head to bare through the side effects (not life threatening). Anyone else reading this and sick of the over complication on these boards there you go.
Not only from the know it all brahs, but even the “ask your doctor” reply lol. On a board where dudes are injecting 500mg T alongside primo and god knows what else. Lmao .
Nausea was by far the biggest obstacle and not sure if titrating up slowly per guidelines would have made it more tolerable, but honestly something I could bear again if I wanted to skip the first dose.
So let me get this straight. You come to a forum for help, you get solid advice and then ignore it. Now, since you didn’t have major sides you’re now back to flame others as some sort of self justification for being stupid? Only one person here looks like a clown… it’s not @swoops39
Some people have problems… I do not understand what would drive someone to revisit an online forum regarding a post they’d made in January JUST to fling an insult or two and log back off
Immaturity i guess… or someone who doesnt have anything else going on.
Not sure about anyone else but ive always taken things with a grain of salt with dealing with others on here. Lets be honest most people would not say face to face to other what they would behind a keyboard. Especially if their identity is hidden.
To help other people who are just looking for simplicity and directness instead of “well you see we have to define by what the word ‘the’ means”.
Let’s be honest, many people on here aren’t really looking to help that much or atleast not the only thing. They are looking to be the all knowledgable philosophical brahs plain and simple.
I can assure you plenty of ppl are going to visit this thread read it and be on their merry way thinking, “thank I got I got an answer”.
On the other hand I want you to be completely honest without bias and tell me what has BLshaw brought to the conversation for any lurker? What about even gentz and his copy and paste from Google?
Immaturity to come back and give my experience for other ppl looking for simple answers like myself?
We are on a forum with ppl who regularly do cycles of roids and you think “ask your doctor” is not an immature answer? What about long winded beating around the push cookie cutter answers from Google? What about that BL Shaw guy and his internet tough guy persona?
Not everyone is looking to get talked down to or lectured on these forums, especially when it gets a tad contradictory.
So roughly the standard 1.5 - 2lbs per week on a typical caloric restriction. The reason why people were telling you to check with a doctor and advising against use is because of potential for serious side effects, and because avoiding the lighter unpleasantries is desirable when you’re only going to achieve average weight loss anyways. I’m glad you didn’t encounter major side effects but you definitely shouldn’t be parading an attitude around for incredibly mediocre results achievable by minor dietary changes.
