For example I will do 5 reps with my left hand pronated and my right hand supinated and then I will switch for the next set. I make sure to do the same amount on each side.
So I probably spent more than I should have at the mall, and now I’m wondering if all of my purchases were necessary. I almost did not buy the xs hot pink mini skirt because it is in my nature to dress to cover up my “curves”, but I realize that I can’t live my life dressing as if I am an out of shape amish person with a poor idea of my own body proportions. Instead of the dowdy cropped pants that cut my calves in half, I loaded up on dresses, mini skirts and skin tight denim. I need to grow some hypothetical balls and proudly wear things I deserve to wear. I squat and deadlift heavy to the best of my abilities, so I figure I have earned the right to mini skirt. Oh god help us if my boyfriend reads this and decides he has earned the right as well.
Woo-hoo! Please don’t hide your gorgeous curves.
You work way too hard to not show it off… did you go to Victoria’s Secret perchance? Perhaps like to model something for us
You look amazing, seriously. The only thing I’m more envious of than your curves is that sexy shopping spree.
I am having a weird problem and I hope someone can help. Today at the gym, I was deadlifting and it felt harder than normal but I went ahead with my workout instead of deloading and after each set my neck felt more strained than usual if that makes sense. When I was done I looked in the mirror and I had this weird rash and spot on my neck. I don’t know if it is busted blood vessels or something more serious. My neck feels “not right” right now, but it doesn’t hurt. Has this happened to anyone before/has anyone heard of it? Pic for reference:
I can’t say that’s ever happened to me, but it does sound/look as if you’ve burst some blood vessels possibly. You should probably get that checked out by a professional if it bothers you though.
well come to think of it it has happened once before. If it just fades I am not going to worry about it and just write it off as broken blood vessels. I am just wondering if it has happened to anyone else ever. I know I have sensitive skin so maybe that has something to do with it.
I have had broken blood vessels around my eyes before from one really bad case of food poisoning. (Worst night of my life) It looked really similar to what’s going on on your neck.
Oh yeah, you are definitely too young and too in shape to not show off those curves. Own it girl! you deserve it.
I tired the mixed grip chin-ups today btw - felt different, a bit harder. Thanks for that!
Hmm…i’ve never experienced rashes from lifting - but I do get a shingles outbreak pretty much anytime i’m run down or the immune system is low. I get the rash on my neck, its usually just one pock or a couple clustered together. I generally know I’m getting an outbreak before I see the rash b/c my ear or jaw and neck have a dull ache. If the rash is clustered it def could be shingles, but its no biggie. Rest and probiotics is all you need
Yeh, not to worry, they have faded now!!! I am going to switch to deadlifting every other week though because I don’t think I’ve been recovering properly. Squats stay in every week though because I lurve them.
