OVT AND REST

Hey Guys:

I am wondering after doing the first stage of the OVT program, did you rest for a week or did you just hit another program right away.

Just hit it!

If you are feeling tired and/or burned out an option is to drop from 5 sets to 3 or 4 in the first week (week 5) and then ramp the sets back up.

Personally, I kept the set/rep scheme the same and kept working.

FYI: As the Black Book states 1-2 weeks active recovery after the 8 weeks is very important.

no do not hit it, unless you have some extreme recovery abilities. either take a week off or go for a low volume strength based training program for a couple of weeks.

Thought “first stage” meant first 4 week block.

If not then P-Dog is right on.

Week 1 - 3 supsersets
Week 2 - 4 supersets
Week 3 - 5 supersets
Week 4 - 3 supersets
2 weeks low volume program
Phase 2, with the same progression
