Since a new administration will be heading into Washington in a month would it be realistic to try to get the pro hormone ban (rgopharm 1 AD, AST 4-diol-250,19 NorAndrostenedione
Androstenedione, and Androdiol) overturned? Is this a possibility and how could we get it done?
Can T-Nation join with other supplement companies and with this joining of resources make enough of a force of change for the politicians?
I can never remember: are Democrats known for wanting less government control than already exists? Is that their hallmark? As for Obama himself, did he run on, even ever once mention as being a positive thing, reducing government regulation and control of people’s lives?
Having been to DC twice to meet with House and Senate staffers regarding the previous ban when it was being proposed as part of a supplement industry lobbying effort, I can tell you that out of every single one that was involved, not one saw anything in it to advance their political interests in supporting prohormones.
That would not be different today.
The most that can be done realistically is to continue fighting against efforts to ban DHEA. That does have some support, as there is no “saving the children” argument against DHEA, there is no “sanctity of sports” issue, and there are a lot of old people that like it.
Well I would like Berardi or the staff at T-Mag to pipe in. I figure if we could get enaough electronic signatures to congress to overturn this BS.
I thought we were adults and could make our own choices of what to put in our bodies. Mine likes pro hormones and i don’t need some fat self serving politician telling me what to do with my sports supps. Like they had any point, or part to be in baseball, a non governmental business.
IMO at best a reduction in the punishments for marijuana use might eventually come out of this administration. I don’t use it and I think it’s unwise to do so but I don’t have a problem with decriminalizing pot to some degree, if not completely. I doubt he has enough political capital to do much more, especially with regards to steroids or prohormones and probably doesn’t see much of a voting block for that.

Just want the staff to pipe in on this.[/quote]
too bad it’s not the simple, or that simple of a solution.
that being said, you would think with the internet these days something could be organized to overturn some BS in this country
quite frankly, i don’t think it’s that big of a deal to the president…he has plenty of other things to worry about that will affect the majority of the country. of course, Congress did spend an amazing amount of time with the baseball and steroids thing, so i oculd be wrong…
I think it should be required for any congressman who has a say in the steroid issue to watch Bigger, Faster, Stronger. That way they can at least have an idea of what they are talking about.

Preposterous.
Haven’t you considered that the more someone knows about something, the less they can persuade the uninformed? Why do you think the top sales people are at the top? Most of them don’t know jack shit about the product they are selling.
I’m sorry, the informed are actually referred to as ‘experts’ and brought in as outside consultants
There are too many retards using anabolics that shouldn’t be as it is. I don’t even have a problem with steroids being illegal. It keeps a lot of people who shouldn’t be using, from actually doing so. It’s easy enough to get AAS, keeping them out of the hands of the uninformed is a good thing in my eyes.
I’d rather see AAS be legal than PH’s, to be honest.
There are plenty of designer steroids available right now, and there will always be a supplement company that is a step ahead of the policy makers.
The only reason I can see juice still being illegal is that the pharmaceutical companies with their army of lobbyists are making MORE money selling them on the black market than the would be if they were legal and unregulated.

Yeah, because Pfizer deals all sorts of stuff under the table…
Seriously, the majority of the profits have moved to UG’s. I can’t think of any real pharmaceutical grade gear that makes it’s way through the states. You want a reason to make AAS legal? Because you have guys who have no idea what they’re doing, brewing it up in unsterile and unsafe manners. Injecting dirty gear on a cycle planned out by some bro on the internet that utilizes “6-OXO” as some sort of joke a PCT is much more unsafe than people utilizing legit products as advised by experts.
If you really want to legalize steroids/prohormones try getting athletes to admit that they use them. Government gets away with demonizing the few who get caught because everybody else just keeps lying about it. When Americans finally realize that almost the entire NF is juicing it gets a lot harder to point fingers at “cheaters”.
