hey ct … I was reading your article about overhead holds… In the article you state to externally rotate and squeeze the traps the traps together showing your armpits with the crook of the elbow facing upward … I was wondering for the top of my push press position and I’m in external rotation in my front rack position … my elbows inside of my wrist facing forward …
should the finish position overhead I should squeeze the shoulder blades and slightly shrug up or squeeze the shoulder blades and try to bring my shoulder blades down … some of the olympic lifters I see on YouTube look like they squeeze so hard it looks like they’re shrugging at the same time they’re in an overhead external rotated position … your advice would be much appreciated… thanks!
