It will not only protect you during your travel, it will guide you through your journey.”
Thanks for all the advice everyone. Much appreciated!
I used to have severe anxiety on many forms, at my worst I had attacks that would last upwards to 6 hours felt I couldn’t leave a certain mile radius of my house… Everytime I did I would get panic attacks… I was literally in the most anxious rot a person could be, severe sensitization, De personalization, OCD, whole nine yards… I did however fully recover. not better managed but fully recovered… So my question is what type of anxieties are you having? because there are a bit of different things you could do… If you are suffering from OCD, Dr. Reid Wilsons book “Stop your obsessing and compulsion” is the best bet… Overall though for any form of anxiety acceptance is needed… Unconditionally with no resistance… If you suffer from Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, de personalization or the likes then get the book At Last A Life by Paul David… It has everything you need to recover… And anxiety no matter how severe is always fully curable… the same for depression and dissociation. \
One last note DO NOT USE MEDS… Some people are debatable in the use for other forms of mental mood dysfunctions but I promise you medication is NOT the answer for anxiety, and this is plenty backed up doctors and research studies not just my opinion… I was on Celexa, Gabapentin, and Ativan for over 5 years… It didn’t help at all, just zombied me out and made my psychologically dependent… Getting off the drugs and the withdrawals were a nightmare…

You have no idea how anxiety in its severe forms can de capacitate somebody… It may sound like a joke and almost humorous to a person that doesn’t have it, but don’t bother saying anything you have no experience in bud…
Yes I do, believe me…a wise man once said that “expressing love casts out all fear”.
So it’s simple, with millions huddled inside like fuckin’ Squirrels, ISOLATION from
other humans and not doing good for others is a main cause of anxiety, loving others with good will, charity,
and not thinking of yourself when doing good deeds for your fellow man, and NOT Hibernating
all the time with your Hot Tea in your Snuggie is what’s gonna eradicate most societal anxieties.
Do you really think that GOD, THE “Universe”, or whoever you think is out there really “PROGRAMMED”
in our fucking heads the capacity for anxiety and fear??
Or was the capacity for anxiety and fear self-imposed?
Which one is it? And how do you explain the virtual lack of anxieties, and rank of MUCH higher
happiness compared to North America in most African Peoples and Tribes, most of whom don’t
live in relative luxury with no air conditioning, Big Screen TV’s or reliable running water?
Can’t explain that one can you? You live like a pampered, spoiled King compared to over a Billion
people in the world my friend… So get over it and quit your hibernating.

Yes I can, And if you want to go into spirituality then this is a whole different ball game, but I don’'t talk about enlightenment or spirituality on here much because not many people really care to hear… Anxiety and fear is a result of egoic function, but everyone is running on that system until they awaken out of it… Anxiety, depression, hate, greed, jeolousy, all that is formed from separation and living in our mind made fantasies and delusions… If I was awake five years ago anxiety would not be there… If there is 'No Self" to defend or live with then there is no separation and no fear… not even death… Again I could write six novels on all this and I really don’t want to de rail this thread… But if you are interested then checkout Adyashanti.org/wayofliberation… Its the most bare bones simple guide for awakening I have ever used…

He’s pretty honest with himself by admitting to having bad anxiety. I can respect that, he’s true to himself online instead of putting on an act. With something like this it isn’t hard to tell that you aren’t being true to yourself on here.
Honestly giving up the need to appease people and just do shit for yourself, it sounds cheesy but meh.

So if I was a Teddy Bear instead and told him what he wanted to hear I WOULD be “true” to myself?

what are you talking about man? Something tells me you’re pretty young, which is fine and well… But again severe mood dysfunctions like the OP is going through can ONLY be understood by experience… Otherwise people just say useless advice like “suck It up”, “get a grip” which does nothing but cause harm. It has nothing to do with being weak or in a place of comfy security… Its indiscriminate to external circumstance, its something totally to do with the inside of the person, how they perceive and get into avoidance behaviors and fear cycles… I have helped people all over the planet with anxiety issues, africa included like you mentioned… Its a state of severe sensitization and exhausted mind function and usually is a by product of distorted beliefs or stress…
I used to get anxiety. Then I grew up and stopped giving a fuck about what people thought about me. Wasn’t overly easy, but then again, I’m not a fucking homo who can’t leave his mum for ten minutes.

The ignorance in this thread is pretty shocking… How bout don’t say anything if you are not gonna be helpful? I bet the OP is being braver then you can imagine just by getting up and facing everyday as it comes along, also putting his state of emotional conflict out front and center online, and then crucified and called a Homo for having a form of agoraphobia, where he literally enters fight or flight and feels like he is dying or about to get his throat torn out just going out of his comfort zone… Which he HAS to do and face full on everytime if he ever wants to get better… if you are gonna talk like a jackass do it somewhere else.

Eh???
Where did the the OP say this? you’re projecting and completely pulling this out of thin air.

You are right, he did not state that… haha should have toned it down, but for some people thats how it feels at a certain point when they are in that state… intense feeling of doom when fight or flight hits out of nowhere, All I was saying is that for some people it can be quite a nightmare until they resolve it so we shouldn’t be saying anything that can come off messed up thats all… nothing to do in context with this thread then just how it can feel for certain people and that we should not be a jerk to people that are already doing their own thing to get better.
Of course without better description it can come across as total projection from my part… All I am saying is that it can be a very scary thing for some people and we don’t have to understand it, but just be nice is all.

Yep, but sometimes I wonder if their inherent simple-mindedness actually protects them from many of these “issues”.
I’ve got numerous insecurities and weaknesses. But I deal with them, and when someone gives me shit about it I laugh and carry on with my life. The world has gone soft
People often forget that being a tough guy or jerk is actually suicide… Its suicide of part of you’re being… Its literally cutting off your emotional being so you can go numb or dissociate… its an identity that is pure acts of avoidance and pure division, Or you can live with absolute vulnerability and thats true courage, and in that there is no fear, no guarding… You are just being genuine and completely open and without fear. That is far more “scary” then being a tough guy… But if you can live in a place of abiding being then you are truly the one with no fear. Don’t hide behind identities thats infancy.
