Okay my trainer is officially fired. Going to the gym and doing the same routine I did last time. Have to pull out my Cosgrove book and design my next work out.

Well, I’m headed to the beach in W. Seattle and pulled out the bathing suit top and the skirt I love that goes with it that used to be too tight. I thought “now it will fit.” Not even close!

True. I have a few items for warmer weather but I need to start adding more. The best part is, I actually enjoy shopping for clothes now.

5/16/10 work out:

65 lb squats 5 x 10
70 lb seated rows 1 x 5
65 lb seated rows 1 x 6
60 lb seated rows 3 x 6
70 lb lat pulldowns 5 x 8
55 lb push press 1 x 5
push ups 5 x 5

I have finally achieved a full push up with correct form – started my push ups on bars, working my way to the floor, then band assisted. Long road to haul and I’m really excited about this. I think push ups are a great indicator of strength.

Tonight I’m doing the Cosgrove metabolic body weight routine that Freckle posted on Greeny’s log. I have a friend who’s been working with me during my fat burning circuits (luring her away from the steady state cardio) so we’ll give this one a try.

A real pushup with good form! That is very, very awesome. I remember feeling the same rush of accomplishment after finally being able to do them for the first time.

Now onwards to T pushups and decline pushups. No resting upon laurels… :slight_smile:

Let me know if it kicked your ass, attydeb! And congrats on those push-ups - that is some strength, you’re right. Once you got to the floor, what was your “band assisted” push-up? I’m still on the bar but looking forward to 5 of my own …
