Deb, it is really great to see you back here and workin’ it strong. Was the burnout work related or just too much gym?

Thanks Kimba. It was a combination of both. I’ve been working 7 days a week for 2+ months and didn’t miss any gym time. In September I hated going to the gym and that’s never happened so I knew something was up.

Deb, so glad you’re back! I think you had fun and made some gains (in the beginning) with Gentilcore but it sucked because you couldn’t tell us what you were doing. :frowning:

working 7 days a week is no bueno regardless of what you’re doing on the side…

50 lb push presses 5x8
25 lb DB bench presses 5x8
30 lb bent over rows 5x8

Zumba for fun :slight_smile: Squats were stronger than last time so I’ll move them up 10 next week. Was really happy about that.

balance is hard to acheive but def the missing link to long term health and happiness.

Thanks nlmain. Working on getting back to balance here. Had to work today (thought it was going to be for 2 hours but turned into 5). Went late to the gym and had to keep talking myself into doing all of the sets. I HATE Bulgarian split squats…but I know they are good for me:

50 lb glute bridge 5x8
50 lb floor presses 5x8

Bulgarian split squats 5x8 (lots of swearing at the platform cuz it’s the inanimate objects’ fault these suck :wink:
15 lb DB reverse lunges 5x8
15 lb DB walking lunges 5x6 each leg

Made myself complete all 5 sets of everything. Glad I did.

Welcome back. I’m kind of in the same boat - a lot going on in my life which has impacted my training. That and injuries, ugh.
Good on you for busting through all the sets. (I hate BSS too. Last time I did 'em was a couple of years back. I got a searing pain in my piriformis and never did them again).

Agreed that bulgarian split squats are the devil. Good for you for doing the sets even when you didn’t wanna.

I’m just here to enjoy the “I Hate Bulgarian Split Squats” party.

Don’t these kill when put together? I do them pulldowns/rows, but they kill me!

Thanks Dixies! Yeah, Green, they killed. In a very good way. Thanks snap. Did three months with the trainer and now I’m on my own. I have a very good base and know where I want to take my training. My next goal is a 200 lb dead! Thanks nlmain! I’m also in a weight loss competition with a co-worker. I’ve been hovering at 148-150 and I want to get to 140. I’m 2.8 pounds down, 8 to go. She’s already sort of dropped out but I’m plowing forward as if she’s still in it. She can take me for the mani/pedi when I win :slight_smile:
