This is a general post for all of the folks in the Over 35 section. I browse through your logs daily. I comment every now and then but not too often. You all deserve a pat on the back. Hell, I will include myself in this as well. We are old. It takes a while for some of us to get out of bed and move around in the morning. Some of us have age related health problems to deal with in addition to lifting injuries. Yet we keep going.
We are supposed to be picking out the rocking chair that we will age gracefully in as we wait to die. We don’t do it. Instead we keep getting after that ass every single day. It does my heart good to see it and I just wanted you to all know it. Now, please continue to kick ass.
Uh, I am just here to say fuck yeah, and thanks for letting me in a year early. It just sounded like so much hassle to start a training log in one forum if you gotta pick up and move in a few months anyway.
Everyone who takes the time to contribute to this site has my gratitude.
As I sit here with Ice on my knees I tip my hat to you sir.
I still think we are all just a bunch of obstinate, stubborn, grumpy fuckers who just like giving a finger to the modern world…or that could be just me.
A few years ago this section was very active it has really slowed down immensely, its a shame I miss those days. I really hope somehow this section can get revitalized, actually hope this whole forum could, ever since the purge something has been missing.
I too am sitting here with Ice on my knee
raising my middle finger - but LIke Matty said It has been booming with activity here in the past,
and hopefully this is marking an upwards swing of Old bastards that kick ass.
Most of my training time is therapy and that’s alright with me. Never back down, no retreat, and full of life we still are. There is a big congratulations to all on this thread giving themselves to the pursuit and fulfillment in the passion of being stronger and more fit.

Awesome post OG. The older crew is smarter, and in most cases, stronger. [/quote]
I have been following some of you bigger, stronger guys for a while and you are awesome. Guys like you, Matty and GV, just to name a few, make me proud to be over here in the nursing home.

i read through a lot of the threads here and i am amazed with what i see…i can’t even begin to imagine having that kind of strength…not sure i ever will
it’s a privilege to read what you guys are doing…great inspiration
Voicing my appreciation to this site, and particularly the O35 section as well. It seems I learn something every time I open these pages. My training philosophy totally changed after finding this site a couple of years ago, and at age 46 am now hitting lifetime PRs. The O35 crowd have been particularly motivating. I am a lifting loner in regards to my work family and social circle so you guys have been my go-to as far as learning, staying motivated, and setting goals as I “mature”.
2014 has been a challenging year - lost my two role models and heroes in January (father and uncle), sold a business, settling estates, etc…very easy to get off track and pack it in for a while. You guys and gals here, and across the board, helped keep my focused and determined just by sharing your training life - I thank you for that.
