ya why NC? you should check out the College Station/Bryan area (Texas A&M) it’s also really “booming”, i promise.
you’d have at least one loyal customer ![]()

I don’t have any suggestions on a location, but I do have a request.
PLEASE keep us all updated on the entire process of opening your gym, and also the success you achieve after it is opened. There are a lot of people interested in opening a gym like yours, but I don’t think there are too many places where it makes financial sense.
Thanks, and best of luck!
Well, I just got home from Fayetteville and if you got questions, I’ll answer them.

I know of a hole in the wall place in Chula Vista where I have been invited to come and train that has original 300lb york dumbells, and they get used. The guy is an ex Olympic lifter and teaches guys the old school way of lifting. To bad it is a two hour drive from where I live.
What exercises are they used for?

I have no idea, I’ve just seen them there. Never have a chance to go down there while the guys are training.

I chose those areas because I am moving there in the coming weeks to get out of sucky SoCal. I have friends and family around there, and I also know that there are not any really good gyms around there, but a good strongman and bodybuilding community in that area.
I hear you I train in clayton competitive powerlifting however I work in Durham and do private training and would like to see what you are talking about in more west raleigh closer to Durham area as well. I like training there but it conflicts with work and travel time.
I relocated here from South Fl and origianlly the North east there a couple of gyms but would love to see what your are talking about.
I work with troponinnutrition.com
Greenville(NC) would be a great place. I dont think Fayettville would be that good of a place b/c its mostly military and they can just go on base
I know this thread is old. But is there any update on this? I’ve hit a rut and I’ve been looking for a gym that teaches and train T-Nation style in Raleigh areas. I’ve had no luck so far. Anyone have any suggestions?
I too would like to know what happened to this… was it ever opened and where?
I am moving to Charlotte/Lake Norman and I am looking for a hardcore gym. Did this place ever open?
I guess there’s no news. I’m so desperate for qualified guidance on Olympic lifts that I’m actually considering CrossFit in Raleigh. Who here is from Raleigh?
I would check out the trainers first at that crossfit facility. The few that I have seen have terrible form, and I am not even talking about for people wanting to compete in olympic lifting.
