You must be incredibly hot; to make a guy go crazy like that at the thought of losing you.
Karma is hot, but I’d wager this guy was not balanced to start with. Women don’t “make” men go insane… they start out that way, and choose victims to unleash the insanity upon.

You… You mean you don’t want to sleep with me? sob Even if we just cuddle?
ahem … (cough) … you didn’t really buy that last part, did you? ;]
(1) i like the way you think
(2) tell me more. i know that i am slow, but wtf? pity f*ck first?
(3) no, there is absolutely no reason that we shouldn’t be

Seriously, a lot of people just don’t have time or inclination to get into the bar scene.
You’re missing out on some fun and more.
And you don’t have to think of it as a way of hooking up for a one-night stand either.
I’ve also used bars/clubs and the people I’ve met for “networking” purposes. I’ve met friends of friends, and we’ve also done things outside the club scene. This way, you can find out if that hottie you met is just a one-night hoe, or a really cool person with some potential to be a three-week fling…or maybe a girlfriend or whatever.
It’s all about “networking.”
You meet a girl. You meet a girl’s friends. You meet friends of friends. You have a plethora of options.

I understand all that… but I don’t drink, I don’t dance, and I don’t mingle very well. So clubs/bars are a depressing waste of time for me!
I don’t drink. Never stops me from having fun. Even if I only have a cup of water in my hand.
I’ll dance, as I’ve found that women like men who will dance. It’s an easy in. But I don’t always like to. But I go out and have a good time when I do. You just have to let yourself go and have fun. I don’t think I can dance worth a shit, but all the girls I’ve danced with think I do. Must be the alcohol.
If you don’t mingle well, then that is a whole other issue. If you can’t have fun hanging out with your friends or talking to strangers, then you really have to work on that. And not just for the bar/club scene.
online dating can be fun. You need a decent picture, you need to spend some time reading other people’s profiles because believe me a well written profile is the difference between getting no smiles and a lot.
There is just a lot of politics, but just as much as there is in a bar/club.
I’ve hooked up with a knockout chick who had a six pack

Rarely and no. And really, I don’t like to harrass people who are trying to get their shopping done. At least with online dating, there’s no question why you’re both there. Either you’re both interested, or you aren’t.

Good advice, Nate, and I generally agree with you. I’m just not a club person; if I had friends who wanted to go out, I’d be ok with that… but I’m just not going to go by myself.
Nep, go hang out at a sports bar. Sit at the bar. Watch the TV. You don’t have to drink a lot, but maybe a bit, and you’ll end up talking to people about the game, unless you don’t want to.
Do that a bit, eventually a woman will mistake her way to the bar and talk to you.
It might take days or weeks, but hell, it doesn’t cost much, you get to watch and talk sports, and you get to see all kinds of humorous jackasses to boot!
Oh, shoot, I was taking you seriously again… my bad.
P.S. If you go enough times to learn the name of the bartender or waitresses, they will talk about you… at least if you appear to be in their age group!

Wow. I’m confused.

Unfortunately, my progeria pretty much knocks that out of the running.
