Gonna try and attach a vid and maybe someone can critique whether they are really pistols…this was my last set so if this works you guys can have a giggle at my fail I was pretty impressed that I actually had the balance to pull these off! (well till the end XD) Hopefully it works, if not oh well
Those look like pistol squats to me, but I’m not an expert on such things. After watching your video, I tried a few with just bw. THose are tough. I love a movement whose execution requires your full focus and concentration. Nice workout.
Heh I have to admire your tenacity - you refused to put your foot down even when you’d lost your balance.
I couldn’t do pistols for the life of me. I can’t even squat down that low and get up again without rolling over on my arse.
Thanks ladies! I do have a strong back…that’s why I thought I would give the sumo dead lifts a try. I have read in a few logs that they may make your legs work harder because it’s more difficult to cheat with your back? try and even things out a bit…if only my bench would catch up, lol…

Good idea on the sumo - i agree, def more leg when pulling in sumo, at least that’s in my experience.
I just went back to look at your bench #s - last I saw was 6x110, which IMO is really good! Anyways, there’s talk over in Snappers log (in the old folks area) about a how bigger back makes for a bigger bench. I’m just mulling this over, but you might want to check it out.

I have been at that bench number for pretty much a year…i hurt my arm a bit ago and didn’t bench for a bit plus over the summer I didn’t lift as heavy (my body and brain needed some thing new) so that didn’t help,lol.
Benching is one of those things that if I don’t do it often i loose it…
I also think I am lacking in form somewhere…homework needs to be done
