Ok so heres an update…I am still sick and I am going crazy!
I have not been able to lift weights ( I have a very physical job and have been doing alot of HEAVY lifting there on a daily basis)so what I am trying to do is alot of stretching etc. More of a therapy approach I guess you could call it, lol, so that I can still complete my day job! I am going mental tho
my brain and ‘spirit’ if you will, wants my body to run around and do fun stuff like usual but its just not gonna happen! ( I guess that also means I am getting better! HAH my mom always used to say that once you start complaining again you know you are getting better
![]()
I believe that I became sick because of the amount of stuff on my plate and just a general lack of handling it properly…I think that your mind can make you sick if you let it…make sense?
Anyways, onwards we go ![]()
^Don’t allow the training to become a stressor in your life. You’ll be back at it soon enough. This time of yr can be difficult to accomplish anything w/great gusto.
One thing at a time. Get yourself well first. Things will fall into place, just allow it & don’t shove it into its place.
& as my daddy used to say, oatmeal is better than no meal. So you’re at least stretching & doing something.
Thanks print…wise words for sure, thanks for reminding me ![]()
Karate-tonight was bunkai and kata. felt amazing to be back at it again
My mind feels so much clearer!!
Have a great night everyone ![]()
Get better soon…the weights will still be there! ![]()
Print your daddy was a smart man!! Thanks for your words…they are so true…sometimes its hard to slow down when you are so used to cruising along at a certain speed. BUT its the collection of many efforts over a looooong period of time that matter in the end anyways ![]()
Karate (last night)~ we worked on Bunki and Kata. Was a good class and when I got home my mind felt so much clearer!
Now here’s hoping for a speedy and productive work day
![]()
I always enjoy bunkai work - kata is so much easier for me when I put applications to the techniques I am doing. Plus it allows you to be a bit creative at times.
laststand~ Bunkai is fun, I am getting better with it with time, but I am a worried ookie…I hate messing others up if I throw the wrong punch and stuff HAH!
Sorry bout the double post…I had posted last night in here and it still hadnt shown up this morning so I redid it and now I have 2, lol! The more the merrier ![]()
Oh wow, I was wondering where the weights went. Sorry that you’re sick, get better soon!
At least you’re still being active, kudos for that!
Yea get better, the rest will come around. Can’t very well get stronger if you are still sick. Get yourself better, eat plenty of good food, drink good things and be better (my secret formula to life right there)

look at those squats and push presses!
looks like the break only did you some good.
Nice work, yea it takes a bit more than 2 weeks to loose strength.
thanks gals!
Nn8tive~ sometimes after a flu bout I loose about 10-15# on my lifts for about 2 weeks or so after I get back into things. Maybe this time tho I played it smarter and waited till I was all better ![]()
Glad you’re feeling better. Awesome that your strength was unaffected.
Wow, to take a break and come back that strong… great job coyote
