wow that is a great little complex you did there. Good work!
Thanks girl!! Google FTW ![]()
You ever read “Starting Strength” by Mark Rippetoe? I just picked it up the other day and have been picking at it a bit. Pretty good book with some great basic knowledge. I have been lifting enough that I guess I would not fall under the the beginner category but I have picked up some great tips and thoughts from this book. If you get a chance to ever look at it or read it do it up. Just thinkin’ out loud here… have a great day ![]()
Those complexes are killer on the shoulders. Ugh
Great work!
n8tive~ I dont have the book, but its on my list
I tried starting strength last year (you can get a layout on Wikipedia) but I stalled out really fast on strength gains, got bummed out and quit, lol! I had just finished a program that was pretty tough and I should have waited a bit also I started with the weight to heavy…lol so yeah, I basically didnt read the rules (AKA Book!!) Maybe after I finish the program I am on I will give it a whirl again. Once I have enough books on my Amazon list to get free shipping I am in!!
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving weekend and that your trip went well!!
Nikki~ Thanks Nikki! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Yesterday I took off…in bed, lol. I was so burnt out and had the aches and pains. I fell asleep on the couch (very unlike me!!) at 630. Woke up at 730 went to bed and read till 9 and then lights out for the night! I needed it tho I guess. Woke up this morn 6# heavier! lol gotta love that!
We got some snow!! Its held off unusually long again this year, but I think its here to stay!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you celebrating!! ![]()

HA, I just read your post about the stuffy convention. Lord, can my 8 year old and her BFF (she had to tell me that was Best Friend Forever) from next door put on one of those. Stuffed critters everywhere. I blame the grandparents for feeding her addiction.
Ugh…been fighting something off for a few days now so things have not been as productive as I like.
Sundays I usually try to have a really heavy day, but it was not happening, lol. Todays workout actually made me feel sick
Oh well, still got one in, a little one, but still one… I am not letting this bug catch me ![]()

Happy Sunday! get some naps for me…
^ Yeah she does more with one arm than I can do with both.
I wish I can love the +6 lbs I added like you do ![]()
lol the numbers under the chins stand for the number of reps I do before I have to regrip NOT added weight.
I only add weight if its like 4 reps, lol.
And the one arm ones were horizontal pullups…like inverted rows… ![]()
lol a little less impressive eh ![]()
impressive none the less!
well thank you Sir!! ![]()
I hunt with Traditional archery equipment, longbows and recures, in the 60 to 70 pound range. A good , heavy arrow with a two blade broadhead, if the hunter does their part, kills just as good as a firearm. I make my living carrying a gun, so archery is a way to connect with our past.
BTW, pullups are a great strength aid to preparing for a heavy weight bow. great job on the workouts, i have been teaching Muay Thai for years and i admire anyone with the dedication to train. Good luck with your goals.
Nice chins! I never though of doing 1 arm horizontal rows. I love this place - so many wonderful ideas.
Hope you feel better soon.
