Nope not a fan of BC hormones. Was on them for over 15 years, various types. I have two days of serious intense vomiting (not the good vomiting) pain every month but the other 28 days I felt so much better coming off them. It was actually a gradual thing as well, you don’t even notice/realise the slowly creeping difference being on them. I have been off them for 7 years, but when I was on them I would’ve told you I never really had a problem or any issues with taking them until I accidentally got off them.

Not sure if you’ll see much difference only after two years but long term they messed up my body. I found my weight a bit more sensitive, if I ate very clean for a couple of weeks it showed a lot sooner but if I ate very bad again it would show a lot sooner than before… but it was like somebody woke my body & mind up.

Mmm can I have that recipe please!!!

min~ I get really sick with my periods too…vomiting, numbness, just nuts! I cant take time off work for that so I went on BC to prevent it. I loved the BC because I never had any PMS either emotional or physical. Lately tho I have noticed that my emotions and physical symptoms are changing, So i decided to see if perhaps my natural hormones are changing and if they are to give them a chance.

Do you take anything to help with the pain/nausea?


Weight~ 133 …I thought for sure it would be less as looking in the mirror I was happy as I usually am at 130. Possibly I am just delusional. Also skinny jeans fit nice today. You cant be delusional about that.

I think I will chalk it up to 3 days in a row of wearing heels, dehydration, and training at end of day when I am tired.


Oh and I also want to say that I was 131 this morning. I was getting pretty freaked out because I did not change the way I was eating last week and by the end of the week I was 135!! Going down nicely again without any changes so it must have been mostly water from going off the BC pills.

UGH BC, I didnt handle it well, was only on it few years, but didnt agree with me. Matter a fact i got a migraine headache the day before my P every month for 7 months AFTER i went off it. I would think you would drop some water weight, at least.

Great form is right! Not sure what legs are looking like out of the sweats, but i can see the muscles popping out!!

Strapless dresses are going to look so dope on you this summer :slight_smile:

Sorry no real answers, I just heavily medicate myself for 1-2 days, usually with codeine, its not ideal though. Have not really found anything for nausea except lots of fresh ginger in boiling water. I take Floradix liquid magnesium to settle down things, usually helps to calm me. And heat is my best friend, I have to walk around with those stick-on-yer-belly heat thingies. And I have to do lots of pelvic stretching and opening. When I did lift, I tried to stay away from getting DOMS in the thighs a couple of days before I was due.

Nasty! I prefer to let my body do its natural thing but I cant call in sick and at times I seriously cant get out of bed when my period begins. We will see, I am hoping it has gone away with age :slight_smile:

oh man my dog goes EVERYWHERE I go, lol! Our bathroom in the basement has a hole in the door so the cat can get to the kittly litter but the dog cant (jeez gotta love that hhuh?) and if I go to the bathroom down there the dog sticks his head in the hole and waits for me :smiley:
