One Leg Larger than the Other

Hi guys, I suffered a knee injury which took me out of commission for abut 6-8 weeks. I lost a lot of mass in my entire left leg as compared to my right leg, it is almost a 1 inch difference. Well my question is what is the best way to bring the left leg back up. Should I keep doing the same exercises but increase the weight on the left leg, or should I just do the same weight but more sets? Any advice is appreciated.

single leg exercises help- lunges and leg presses come to mind.
