As always, big numbers, Steely. I hope the fantastic progress on the weights hasn’t hurt your skills with the axe.
LOL… My lack of practicing regularly since I took this new job has affected my skills with the axe. I was noodling around last week and hand was crampy, slow, and sluggish… LOL.

Great work in here, SteelyX! That is some big back work.
Thanks JJ-- I keep dropping and coming back to BB rows. My lower back just screams if I try to do these bent over like 90 degrees. I did these not much more bent over than shrugging-- probably more like in position to do RDL’s, then row a short ROM to mid/upper belly.
Definitely not full ROM and the form police retards in the BB Forum would have a ball with it, but the bottom line is I felt them in my lats and rear delts, so they count for something, eh?
The SLDL’s I went down a few inches below knees and the plates were just a couple inches off the ground. Haven’t done these in awhile either. This was supposed to be my rack-pull “deload”, so I changed up a little bit.
As I’m typing this, I feel like I’ve been beat with a rolling pin from my calves to my traps, so I guess I did something…

Always impressed when I come in here. BTW, once you pass 300 on the bench you can’t use the suffix “poo”.
LOL… DARN IT!
Thanks for the words. The goal is 405 by the end of the year. I think I could chase that number and get there much sooner, but I’m a volume whore and I know I grow from the volume, so sub-max weights and relatively moderate reps. I think my sweet spot is 4-8 reps for several sets.
It’s coming along slowly, but progression is an exercise in patience…

Realized my problem. I need to add bourbon and beer to my routine, that would motivate me.
I was SOOOOOO close to buying a six of Shipyard Chameberlain Pale Ale this weekend, but I ended up not. When I go to Denmark for work in a couple weeks, I think I’m going to make up for my dry spell…
