415 x 3 is awsome. Time for a Whopper. Just not 3.

Great job SD.

3+ inches on arms
3 reps on 415

3 minimum whoppers I vote!

Or two double whoppers.

Congrats!

Rescued from page 2.

Big congrats on the 415 for reps.

Hope everything has been coming up roses for you! My best to you & yours!

Thank everyone.

A lot has been going on and I just haven’t been posting workouts as much (although I’m still reading everyone’s logs here…luuuuuurrrrrrking. I just can’t record my workout in my book, in a spreadsheet, AND in here-- takes a lot of time!!

Anyhoo, joined two new gyms ( see: Forums - T Nation - The World's Trusted Community for Elite Fitness ) and I’m letting my “Y” membership end.

I’ll definitely post big PR’s, milestones, and some workouts that are worth posting. When I get my 300 bench (hopefully soon), I’ll DEFINITELY post that.

Update on shoulder: Feeling good. The ART, deep tissue, and YTWL + scap crap has helped no doubt. I’ve been doing a “2 on 1 off” schedule which forces a day off vs 4 on 1 off like I was doing. I actually get more frequency as well.

However, as radical as it might sound, I noticed my shoulder REALLY feel better when I changed work chairs…!!!. I sit all day and was sitting in my favorite rocking chair, but the arms dug into my arms and forced my to hunch a bit. I got a new desk chair and it seems to have gone away. Maybe coincidence maybe not.

Got 100x12, 135x20, 150x25 on the Kroc rows tonight. Felt like I ran 3 miles.

you just set the bar higher for me. Eco taunted me to do 120s x 40 and I thought I would work up to that. shitty part is my weekday gym only goes up to 130s.

hey wait a minute, strap ons, or no strap ons?

nice work you Bastid.

I think I can rock 100x20, did you say 150
and come clean on the straps gear whore

Uh…wow! Awesome work SD. That’s some major pullage.
Only 3 miles? Much better endurance that I could dream of.

Full disclosure: It was a 150# strap-on.

Straps or no, that is a lot of weight for the reps, in my book.

Nice Kroc #s.

The day I can do 150 X 20, straps or no straps, I should also be good for a 600 deadlift

FF - I’m not quite at a 600 DL yet!!!

You’ll soon get there.

For me, I should be able to get 80 X 20 on a good day. I suspect doing kroc rows and 5/3/1 for deads the last month is a major reason why I was able to pull and lock-out 475 a few days ago.

Now, Imagine if I move from 80 X 20 to 150 X 20…

  • I asked this douchebag P/T that works at the “Y” (where my membership is thankfully expiring soon) to spot me. It was my next-to-last-heavy-set and he’s got his fucking hands on the bar the whole time. So I asked him if he was touching the bar and he mumbles something like "yeah, but it was all you… So, I asked him not to touch it unless it goes backwards and the douche does it again!!! Then he tells me “You shouldn’t let the bar touch your chest, it’s bad form and you’ll mess up your shoulders, and you arch too much.”

I might have mumbled something that would get my mouth washed out with soap, but I can’t remember clearly…

Fucking douchebag P-T’s!!! (present company excluded)

Quite the numbers you’re putting up, Steely!

Do that, man. Although the BP isn’t the be-all-end-all exercise, setting up a new BP PR is just fucking great. There’s something to exerting force against a load that could crush your body. I like that.

I definitely second that. Being just another code monkey lurking in the forums, I totally know what you’re talking about.

Question concerning your scrapula shizz: how much of an angle do you use on the incline bench? My shoulders are absolutely benefiting from doing the Y portion on as small an incline as possible.

FF- Thanks bro!

I didn’t know you were a code-monkey! LMAO! From one dark dungeon (cubicle) to another (gym). Funny, there are so many more coders/IT folks that push weights around than I ever imagined. There are a bunch in these forums and a few T-women as well!

Scap-crap: I use the lowest incline, so what’s that, like 30 deg or so. It’s just enough. I do my rear delt flyes at that angle as well on shoulder day.

How are you feeling?
