3 mile walk. 15:26 pace.

Successful day. Got some food prep done. Got some senior pictures taken. Got in a good workout and a good walk. I was very hungry today and my calories reflect that. I stayed within what my app told me to and was still able to eat when I was hungry. I will continue to check my weight for another week or two then plan to back that down I think. We will see.

That is what is great about muffing up a workout. Your body probably cannot tell.

2 mile run. 10:32 pace. Average heart rate 145 Max heart rate 172. Quicker pace than my last run. I’m happy with that.

So I got to work this morning for the early shift and found out that today was actually my day off. But because I already drove the whole way in and my boss is amazing, she let me work today and have tomorrow off. So that worked out. Still felt like a moron.

Good mornings

As per usual I enjoyed deadlift day. I felt strong in all of my sets. I’m counting it as a plus that I counted all sets correctly today and managed not to go into work when not scheduled. Victory is mine. I’ve decided that I spend entirely too much time on my phone so I am limiting myself to only laptop time on T-nation. This should do a fairly good job of limiting my distractions from my actual life as my laptop is inconvenient and I am loath to get on it. This should also keep me from dipping into threads that I really need to stay off of. My self-control leaves something to be desired so depriving myself of the opportunity is my best option. I’m glad I started this program. It’s nice to have a sense of direction.

Well I ALMOST threw myself on my own sword. But I thought better of it at the last minute.

Seppuku might be a little extreme in this case.

Well, I usually am right.

What exactly am I right about this time?

No arguments here. About training 4 days instead of 3. That’s what I did last week and it felt pretty good. Gonna keep going with that I unless or until recovery becomes a problem.

It was raining when I woke up so my run turned into an assault bike ride. Not my favorite thing. 6.4 miles 22:00. Average heart rate 123. Max heart rate 151. It was fine. No excitement here. Hopefully the weather will improve and I can do a walk with the man tonight.

Morning run 2 miles. 10:14 pace. Average heart rate 151. Max heart rate 174.

Good run this morning. It was delightfully chilly which made the run nice and crisp. My pace is getting better. Might even be respectable by the time my turkey trot rolls around. We get very few trick or treaters but I’m hoping for at least a few super cuties tonight. I love the little ones who look at me like I’m trying to trick them when I tell them to take a big old handful of candy. Lol. Nothing better than a suspicious 4 year old. Happy Halloween to everyone! :spider::spider_web::ghost::jack_o_lantern:

I dislike all this talk of running, just on general principle.

We use the word running very loosely. More of a semi quick jog.

This is really good for someone who’s been out of the game for a while.

Training max 125

Ball throws, fire hydrant kicks

Warm up sets

Squat
70% x 3
80% x 3
90% x 10

Step ups
5 x 15 each leg

Leg curl
15# 5 x 10

Week two in the books. I feel like this was a pretty good session. Squats went pretty well. It’s been really nice to be able to do leg curls comfortably again. I don’t think I’ve really done them much since my hysterectomy and I really enjoy just being able to do a set without feeling pressure throughout my entire pelvis. Also the ability to wear my weight belt again. I have an umbilical hernia (thank you pregnancy) that was repaired during my surgery and I wear the belt for all big lifts (including warm ups) to help support that area. I had gotten to a point where I couldn’t wear it anymore because of aforementioned pressure. I am grateful for my ability to function properly again. It feels like today is going to be a good day.
