I understand ur original post about manning up and I do think that is 50% of the battle just being mentally tough and watching the rock and telling my negative thoughts to fuck themselves but right now I’m just trying to get the physical side down so that mental side can have some effect. Appreciate ur original post tho.
I got my ferratin and cortisol tested last week and my ferritin is 35.5 and my cortisol is 9.2 (test taken at 1pm ish an hour after I got up.) They didnt say much about it when she went over my labs
As is typical of sycophantic groups. No dissenting opinions tolerated, it might detract from the herd indoctrination
I too wish you luck , whats your stats age , height , weight , bf% ?
UPDATE: Appreciate the help and the posts, even tho some are just bickering but appreciate the support regardless. Went to the endocrinologist today as I mentioned before I just felt like the clinic i was going to was not knowledgeable enough and it made me feel fucked that they were constantly trying to sell me stuff.
Anyway, endo doc pointed out the fact that I might of not needed to be on testosterone replacement in the first place, yes my test was very low, but I might of just needed more than a 3 month time span for my brain and body to recover. She suggests to get of the test for a week see how I feel and meet back with her in a few weeks as she orders a catchelomine, liver function, and a few other tests just to make sure that theres really nothing else going on. At the moment that sounds like the best option as I’m desperate to feel any better than I do now.
On the other hand the doctor from the clinic recommended to start taking 500IU hcg every other week to try and restart my natural test and hopefully then the test receptor sites will regenerate and to take some l theanine to help a possible adrenal gland issue.
If my only option with being guy with low SHBG is to inject every other day thats just not something I want to do right now its too much of a commitment for no guarantee of feeling better. Would I need anything like a post cycle or nolva if I come off this dose of test to see how im feeling?
Also, I am not taking any medications other than test, hcg and an occasional AI. I was on antidepressants on and off many times over the course of last year.

subq injections or im ?
I was on subq and wasn’t doing much switched to im and def feel the difference some don’t respond to subq as well , also I feel you bounced around quite a bit at different doses . Like I said good luck getting your levels squared away but shit man you’re young and in decent shape , get on a treadmill , hit some weights get a new outfit and start living life bud , its all what you make of it .
one little other thing …watch a few of those E 60 on espn about some of the children … that makes me so appreciative of what I do have ya know . Gives ya that extra dammmm if these kids are overcoming I sure the hell can !!!
Ferritin needs to be >70 to support optimal thyroid function. My doctor didn’t say much about my iron panel either, turns out my GP doesn’t know iron deficiency when he sees it. My ferritin was 25 and saturation 12% range 20-50%, iron 40-61 with the latter in range.
Ferritin is stored iron and is on the bottom end brother, don’t ever blindly trust you doctors.
Here is your second mistake, endo’s don’t specialize in TRT and most get it wrong. It doesn’t even sound like you’re willing to give TRT a solid chance, I mean TRT increased your SHBG probably do to the improvements in insulin sensitivity.
This is proof that TRT was working and all you needed was to fine tune your protocol to include daily injections, 29 gauge insulin syringes is painless. A lot of guys go on TRT looking for a quick fix and when they realize there is more commitment required, they tap out because it’s not easy.
You are here in a low T forum. Clearly by your definition you are a weak person who should not be given the medication that can make you fully functioning. Why enable you? You are weak we should just let you wither away right? Or is your T not low and you just feel inadequate as a man so you are here for AAS advice?
Mentally weak doesn’t equal physically weak … sry pal try again .
Men’s testosterone is scientifically proven to go down as they age . Thats Physical , u taking offense to me saying I hate the world enabling weak minded humans is mentally weak .
No what happened was i had issues growing up and constantly was chasing something to numb the depression and anxiety you claim isnt real. Come to think of it though it was probably out of wack hormones causing those symptoms that were not real right? I got my shit together. I have a family and a good career probabaly making a minimum of double what you do on your best year. There are alot of people that are not able to beat it because of the ignorant shit people say. My response to them is simply that i hope their first born dies from addiction.
Sorry we didnt all grow up with a privliged life like you. Although im kind of torn on that. I cant decide if You are so bitter because the world stuck it up your backside one too many times over the years or if you are one of those kids that grew up in privledge playing sports and surrounded by money only to grow up and have to acctually put it some work and effort and realized your safety net was gone. I was working and paying bills the week i turned 14 and was legally able to get a job. I was national honor roll throughout high school all while working to support my habits. Nothing was handed to me. I was married and supporting a family of 5 at 22 years old. So no i have always helped my self one way or another i have never had to leach off other people. I also did 5 years of school after high school. Oh and I managed to do all that with a Total T in the double digits and i still dont spend my days taking out my self hatred on strangers
Just my opinion, but whatever value you have to contribute is obscured by your malodorous attitude.
And your syntax and punctuation reek of overreactive, hyperemotional keyboard pounding, which despite your very conspicuous protests, does not blare the words, “mentally strong individual”.
@bennyboom So, what are you going to try? It seems like the higher dose caused a problem. A lower dose might be better. Did you change the AI dose when you upped the dose of Test? Before you go changing your entire protocol, try adjusting one thing at a time. Don’t just drop two things at once and mess with the T dose at the same time. Try backing the dose down a little first. Maybe move to a more frequent dosing schedule next, see what that does. The maybe try no HCG for a couple of weeks. Then something else. The AI’s are not great for you long-term. If you can get away from them at some point it will be healthier, but don’t change everything at once. You don’t know what did what if you change multiple things at once.
Okay and taking a daily Iron sup helped you feel better in the long term? Im open to whatever and am willing to give TRT a good chance its just tough coming from a year long unsuccessful trial with different anti depressants/anxiety meds and now struggles with a TRT protocol for the last few months all because of some bad direction and misdiagnosed hormone deficiency I’m just tired of feeling shitty and getting bad advice thats all. It just seems like I’ve been trying to feel better for forever which I have but not always under the best direction.
So your direction is to start subq injections every day? If SHBG went up and you said that means TRT is working how come I feel worse than ever right now? Just wondering. Also Its a small deal to inject yourself I understand Im just not a needle guy, never have been, once I start injecting myself and get over that fear this protocol will probably seem more manageable.
well at the moment Im just trying to find out what the issue is and what to change, Ive went back from 180mg to 120mg for the last 3 weeks to see how I’m feeling and nothing has changed, ever since I upped it to 180 for 3 weeks it just seems like I’m not on test at all. Was hoping the lower dose would get me feeling better but nothing yet. As far as AI and HCG I’ve stayed pretty consistent which is HCG once a week 500IU’s (less than what I was first prescribed and anastrozole .5 every 2 weeks, also less than I first described.) Only thing I’ve changed in the last 2 months since I was feeling pretty good was the test, upped it and then lowered it, libido and energy still lower than ever.
So, you cut back on the anastrozole and HCG when? After also cutting your dose?
I suggest IM because most don’t like sub-Q which can increase estrogen and lower testosterone. IM works for everyone. Your protocol was seriously messed up, that massive weekly dosage was never going to work.
I felt terrible on weekly dosing, most low SHBG men would feel terrible on your protocol, no one here is telling you that your protocol is good, a disaster.
Daily dosing is going to be so much better because you will not be in excess, whenever men are in excess, sometimes it provided negitive results.
If you are going to do daily, stop the AI for the time being. I used 29 gauge insulin syringes in the shoulders and quads, painless.
Wrong. Absolutely, unequivocally wrong. Bad advice. Goes completely against the literature. Virtually everyone in our group has moved to daily SubQ and they are all feeling better. No AI. No HCG. IM injections actually cause spikes in E2 more so than SubQ. I did IM shots for 3 years before moving to SubQ and I’ll never go back. Same as most of the guys in the group. Not to mention you’re not poking holes in your muscle tissue on a daily basis which can cause scar tissue over time. It’s a smoother release of the oil versus a faster spike doing IM.
I read about guys feeling worse on SubQ even dr Crisler was stating SubQ cannot be handled well by everyone for uknown reasons. But he said he has not discovered it.
ANyway I’ve read about guys doing IM daily with small syringes in shoulder for example with minimal pain and tissue scarring.
