30 days post is no time at all. With the work your doing your recovery will come quickly. Yeah, it sucks digging through the trenches but the value is great.

thanks GV.
Its coming along.
I had to take a few days off after this weekend
halloween party and walking around left me banged up til today.
It doesnt take much to have me in need of ice and rest
One of those what ever happened to threads popped up in GAL recently and got me thinking about Mascherano’s rehab log after ACL surgery. It was a good read, thought you might like to take a look.
Been following along with your rehab, keep up the hard work
6 ways are definitley the shit, OH pressing, 6 ways and facepulls is a definite way to keep shoulder training simple and effective for the hypertrophiezz and strenf.
Way to fight through, your still a pussy though ![]()

Im def a pussy.
im all about the strenf no treble
but hyPERtropiezz might need to take a preeority for a while.
thanks brother.
For anyone interested, Im a workers comp case so I am trying to down play any pics vids etc.
Its not pretty.
Still wearing a Giant ass leg brace
Still on crutches - no weight bearing on the shit leg
cant straighten out the shit leg - very little hyper extension
we cant follow normal ACL/MCL protocols
the combination of injuries/surgeries that are healing slow things down.
the patella tendon where the graft came from is very stiff and has little ROM
I see the surgeon again next week , and we can make a better evaluation for rehab then.
we do flexing and tensing of the quads
leg raises and with ankle weights Im up to a 3lb weight on the peg leg.
do these laying down and standing.
manipulation and stretching of both legs
tens machine ice and heat as needed - so we cant do much.
no stepping on Foam - no constant motion machine
so thats 3 days a week and if im not careful It leaves me for dead.
while im typing all this shit.
I will gloss over the
depression
anxiety
boredome
blame-games that happen thru-out the day.
cause they just suck.
and the percaset - which I stopped taking withen 10 days of surgery
gave me horrible night mares - like walking dead shit.
Like two dudes dragged me from my house
beat the fuck out of me
set me on fire
sliced up my gut
buried me alive
but left some air holes so you get to freak out and die slower
oh yeah the drugs where great.
OK I trained a little today this morning
thus I have all time like now
where I am am sitting with a king kong sized icepack on my knee
and I can be all salty and type.
10.30.14
band work lots
pull-aparts - dislocates no money drills etc.
TRX face pulls x pushup x row x fall outs 2x10
A1 facepulls 5x12-15
A2 Pull downs med nuetral grip 5x12-15
B chest supported row 1 45+ 125 5x10-12
C bw dip 6x12
D some tricep rope crap x some
notes-
kept is short - and light which is the move to make right now.
sat on the floor for the pulldowns which was smarter then trying to fit in one
dips- could have done more - too much like crutches
fucked around with some other machines
turns out some of them are ok
the HS machines are stupid as fuck
they dont work for me- long arms and the handles on all the rowing/pulling
machines from HS seem to be upside down as to where you would want your hands
will play with the other dinky machines next time.

pain from crutches- sleeping with shitty posture
past that - this felt pretty good
while Im typing incoherently
with an ice pack on my knee.
Fuck you Crutches
if you have ever had any remote pain in your
neck, shoulders, wrist, elbow, in say the last 27 years,
crutches bring that out.
other then that I feel fucking good
I know you’re not in the best place right now. But it will pass. Life will probably be a little different after an injury of this magnitude. But you’ll eventually reach a new normal. I am really enjoying your log. Not that it’s any significant consolation.
brotard,
I am not in a position to agree or disagree with any prognosis from my spot in flyover country.
What I am going to say is that shit gets modified ALL THE TIME and just like making any “estimate” it is better to under sell and over deliver. You are putting in the hard and painful work to get the best outcome. Keep doing that. Depression is normal. It sucks to be crippled. The parking isn’t worth it. Feeling shitty about feeling shitty is in fact the normal response. Just keep DOING the right things. I know you have a Godan in “Fuck It, Drive On” and “falling on your face is still moving forward” so put that to work.
To fight boredom:
If you haven’t already watch:
Archer
Game of Thrones
Deadwood
The Wire
Rome
Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead is a guilty pleasure.
Regards,
Robert A

It also sucks to complain about shit sucking.
Today sucked balls- rained trapped in the house
and when it rains - It becomes a painful day.
today I coundt get to the gym
Yesterday - at PT we did more tiny ham curls.
they felt awesome.
I see the surgeon tomorrow.
thought that was today - I misread that.
I will get a better idea about recovery and what we can do in PT
I also meant to thank people for the kind words.
But really dont hold back- a friendly kick in the ass is good too.
good news - saw the surgeon today in the AM
PT in the PM.
All is healing well - PT can move ahead full speed.
I can start to wean off this NFL sized brace.
and can move towards walking with a cane
PT-
Ice
a series of ‘quad sets’
where I flexed what would be a quad
4 different weighted leg raises
then we switched to machines
seated ham curls 3x12
bad girl 3x12
good girl 3x12
then I stepped on foam
and tried to press my heel ( and foot) into a 3" piece of foam
did that many x many
some stretching
ice and tens machine.
shit fucked me up.
