On the Diet Come-Back

Hey guys been a while since I posted anything like this.

But I stopped lifting for a month because of injury, diet slipped you know how it is.
I’ve been lifting again for 5weeks, mainly working with my dumbbells.
Anyway.

Last time I weighed myself about 2 and a half months ago I was onlu 129lbs, I have made sure that I’ve gained some weight since then.
I haven’t checked my weight since but I have visibly gained a bit of a weight I just don’t look as skinny anymore.

But my waist has remained 26-28inches throughout. But even so I’m not ripped.
So I’m guessing my diet is to blame.

I was looking at the V-Diet but I’m not sure if (guessing weight now) 133ish lbs person should go on that diet. Considering I’m such a low weight anyway I don’t see why I can’t see my abs, which is what I consider being lean as and usually ripped.

So if not the v-diet then what, I’ve tried the anabolic diet however my parents wouldn’t let me continue because, well.
They’re idiots.
So without these two diets.
What can I do?

I often make smart choices regarding my food… Unfortunately my Mother mainly buys shit crisps, chocolates etc.
I don’t eat them but meals are rarely better frozen food and take outs, I hate it.
But even then I’m making smart choices, if we eat from the take-out I’ll make sure I get the grilled chicken with salad.
I always try to get some sort of protein in every meal.

So what’s going wrong?

Let me get something straight. You have a 26-28 inch waist and weight 133. The V-diet is not for you. You can bulk up smartly with lean meats, complex carbs, healthy fats, etc. Read the stickies at the top of the forum.

Unless you are like 5’ tall, you really need to gain some weight my friend.

If you will post your diet for a typical day I will be happy to take a look at it and give some pointers. You may simply need to build up your abs or they may not be “deeply set”.

I can tell you that I had better abs at 195 then I did at 112 when I wrestled:-) In any event this is a very fixable problem, we (myself or others who could contribute) simply need more info.

Also include your goals, do you want to add muscle,or just loose fat and stay the same weight? The more info you provide, the better response people can give.

Thanks for the post guys, Yeah I do need to add weight I’m about 5’7.

My typical diet is something like this.

Breakfast: Oats or eggs and bacon.
Lunch: Chicken roll or beans on toast with grated cheese or a pasta dish with either tuna or ham.
Dinner: Sometimes takeouts - grilled chicken and salad or ham and chicken rice dish. Spaghetti bolognase, meatballs and pasta, beef stew.

Post-workout: maximuscle promax whey protein powder.

As you can see, my diet changes a lot its very rarely set out is this a problem?

My aim is to gain muscle

Please don’t take this the wrong way but that diet sucks!!! Don’t worry about it though, I ate like crap when I started out and once you learn the basic nutrition side of things you will make some impressive strides. Well here goes:

For Meal 1: 4 egg whites 1 whole egg 1 serving oatmeal 1 T flax oil

Meal 2 1 Can Tuna 1 apple

Meal 3 6oz Chicken breast 1 serving rice large salad

Meal 4 6oz lean meat (any one is fine) apple

Pre workout 1 scoop protein
Post workout 2 scoops protein 1 serving rice 1 cup applesauce

Meal 5 6oz lean meat 1 cup vegtables 1/2 serving of rice. 1 T Flax Oil

The above is VERY basic it should help you start to pack on some good weight and you will likely lean out a bit in the process. Follow that basic plan for 3 weeks and keep us posted on your progress. Normally I reccomend fish oil glutamine bcca’s and some other stuff but for right now I just want you to get used to more food and get more nutrients.

When you run out of protein powder switch to Surge 1 scoop before 2 1/2 after (drop the applesauce and rice at that point). Good luck and keep usposted on your progress.

Great post! The OP just doesn’t have any ab muscles to show. At 129, you should never even consider dieting!

Hope I can gain that in 6 but I dropped 50lbs of fat in 3 so should be no problem.
