Does sound cool. And I’m glad you’ve found a good use for your trainer - ha!

How about some measurements or similar to monitor progress?

I just received my calipers and measuring tape in the mail. Now to make good use of my boyfriend by teaching him how to do it…

It’s the human prerogative to change one’s mind. We all have different goals. I think the whole point is to share training experiences, regardless of where the journey takes us.

Well spoken and thanks for being understanding.

Measurements (not a proud moment…):
breast: 34.75 (this is a testament to my lats, not my actual breasts. Those suckers are small, but apparently the lats are significantly bigger. The last time I measure these they were 33)
under breast: 30
Stomach (at belly button)- 29
Smallest part of waist: 27.5
Largest part around butt: 36.5
thigh-22
calf- 13 (I really want these to grow)
arm-10.5 flexed-11.5

Also, I’m extremely excited about my beginning diet plan through precision nutrition. For once, I’m trying to make as small and easy of a change as possible; basically just sticking to 5 meals per day. Once I get that down maybe I’ll experiment with carb loading. Also, I have a naturally ecomorph body type, as you can see in the picture I’m posting here from before I started working out. That means I need a lot more carbs than the average person (great news, considering how I feel on low carbs. I can’t even wake up until I eat some.

Taken two weeks ago.

Girlie you were hot before and now as well!! You really are a total package, with beautiful delicate joints and a gorgeous face. I’m excited to see how you progress with the new BBing program.

Nice! You’re a total hottie. And quite lean. I think the body building is going to do you wonders. You have great stuff to work with.

I also feel like crap on low carbs. I’m doing the warrior diet, hoping it will lean me out a little while still letting me eat carbs. I’ll let you know how that goes.

Also how tall are you?

Owlie, I think you’re pretty good looking yourself and thank you. Right now my legs are so sore I can’t lightly lay a finger on them without pain. lol.

Mascherano, I’m 5’6" and 130lbs although apparently I look shorter than that in pictures (so I’ve been told). Right now I’m trying to gain another 5lbs of muscle (at least) through my legs, chest, and abs. I feel like my back is a little ahead of everything else.

In addition to completely wrecking myself in the gym, my boyfriend and I have been experimenting with the precision nutrition recipes and I feel like this is the best we’ve ever eaten without having to urge to go to a restaurant in years. Teaching him how to cook has been a bit of an adventure, but a successful one.

I’ll post more on the bbing programming in a couple days.

So I did 35lb dbs for 8 reps on a seated overhead press, which I’m pretty excited about. It was part of my shoulder workout, which included different grips for front and side raises, rear deltoid work, and shrugs. I realized today that most people aren’t doing shrugs even halfway right.

In other news, my right hand started crapping out in the middle of a session later on. It was very odd, because sometimes it felt great, and then other times it felt like a big cramp was hitting it and I’d want to scream just picking up a bar. I had the massage therapist take a look, and after pulling my finger bones apparent and nearly making me cry, he concluded that I overworked my forearm and have some intense inflammation going on. It felt like my hand was broken when he touched it in this one area. The pain has now progressed to the point that any slight pressure that my hand has to press against makes me want to scream.

A word to the wise- apparently your forearms are more sensitive to overtraining (this is what the massage therapist was saying), so be careful with wrist work (something else I was doing with my bbing trainer a couple days ago).

I’m going to ice it and sleep for the next couple days while taking all sorts of anti-inflammatories.

Damn, you’re cute.

Do you ever do wrist curls to strengthen your forearms?

Question out of curiosity…what made you decide to go for bb’ing and not figure?

kpsnap- It was the wrist curls that busted my hand so bad, so yes, now I’m doing them :stuck_out_tongue: and thanks.

MIM- Good question. I picked bbing on the coaches’ recommendation. He had several reasons. First of all, the judging tends to be more consistent with bbing so you know what to shoot for every time. Secondly, it’s usually a smaller class (women) so it’s much easier to place.

Okay. I’m going to plead a bit of ignorance here. But what’s the difference between BBing and figure? Both pose on stage in bikinis, right? Body builders have bigger muscles and the figure girls are the super lean ones?

I’m not 100% sure about the differences either. I think figure is judging girls on who has the nicest figure, so it’s actually less lean and more “curvy” than bbing. bbing is judged on who has the best visual development, so at the lower levels it’s all about who’s the leanest (but you have to have a little muscle to be competitive). At the higher levels size matters more. However, I’m obviously not an expert, this is just what I’ve been told.

Figure is more girly… it’s hair, makeup, high heels…the ‘sex appeal,’ of muscularity?

If I do a comp one day, it will definitely be bb’ing! I’ve never worn high heels in my life anyway, haha.

Me neither! I have some high boots but always end up walking along in stockinged feet with my boots in my hand. Wearing them feels like being beaten across the balls of the feet with in iron prybar.

Good luck, Oleena, you’re looking good.

Yesterday I started my routine with DB chest press for 10 reps and was able to get 40lbs for 3 sets, which is awesome considering that I failed at 40lbs 2 weeks ago after 3 reps. I think changing to a different program has made a fantastic difference in my strength and size after a very short period.

I’m not sure why this was taken down before, as it’s pretty tame compared with everything else, but here’s an ab progress picture.

You have a beautiful bod!

Good to see you lifting again Oly!
