Power snatches eh?
I’m really enjoying them, but it infuriates the hell out of me that everyone else seems to be able to drop under them with ease.
Do you do the power version for the same reason?

You got a good deal. Time to look for that cage!!! Your lifts will go to a whole new level. It’ll be fun to watch.

I don’t have the flexibility to drop under (shoulders). I may work on it a bit but in the big picture it would be more for shoulder health reason than learning to drop under a snatch. I like doing versions of the oly lifts to build some hip strength and power, traps upper back etc for deadlifting. I odn’t ever see myself competing in a weightlifting meet.

Great vids. You’re a strong guy.
I’ve never used a safety squat bar, how does it feel compared to a standard bar?, harder?, easier?, does it pull you forward more?

It’s harder for me as i rend to be a bit more of a back squatter. You can see i really struggle to keep my shoulders up. Works my legs pretty good though.

Good work in here. Looks like a well equipped gym too. Well, it has a mono at least.
Thanks Pete, hope all is well with you.
I really like the mono rack because of the ability for small height adjustments, but i still walk weight out and back.
Nice vids.
Looks like you’ve got real squat shoes too. I haven’t graduated to that level yet.
Never used a mono, never used a safety squat bar, ain’t got no squat shoes. I feel so deprived. Really good lifting.
I keep double posting. Guess I ain’t got no postin skills, either.
Thanks ksnap. I am a firm believer in a good belt and good shoes…
Thanks Hel, they are fun to play with for a few weeks but as you know it all boils down to some good old get after it lifts.
