You need to go deeper on your squats. Your ass didn’t actually touch the floor.
I expected nothing less!
Can only imagine how your walking today.
What are your plans for recovery? Hmmm
Can’t see video from phone, cant wait for link
Congrats G
Thanks snap, had to lift very deliberate so to speak, kinda of searching my way through the sq/dl.
Git i thought it did on 1 rep lol.
Thanks Up, sending right now. Hope you can get it on phone. recovery…hmmm we’ll see. Walking… funny you mentioned went to step into shuttle bus at airport and hip caught and rolled right back out into the street…really was funny and alomist crushed who ever was behind ![]()
well, time to gear up. a ply or four makes the hips feel better
G1
Great job- will watch videos when I’m home
Impressed that your results are exactly as you train,
Good to see you work around your not being 100%
Amazing work
As impressive as expected. Another master class clinic.
The squats were just simply superb to watch.
On the bench, I couldn’t tell whether you had timed the judge, or the judge was getting sucked into your rhythm, because you barely had to pause it was timed so perfectly. Again perfect form…
Haha, I could almost see you thinking “what the…” on the 1st deadlift. Plus that first step with your right leg after the 3rd deadlift is how I “hitch” after getting up from just sitting down for too long!
PeteS said it best -Professional!!!
Great job here getting all your lifts and making look smooth.
Lol Pete, have to figure out how to do both!!!
Thanks Kev.
Punny, not sure. That is Thompson who usually is tough but definetly fair on the pauses but did seem quick but i’ll take it? Yes on hip on 1st and 3rd dead lol.
I did feel good at meet in general and strength was definetly up. Think i hit the peaking and taper right. felt stronger and recovered.

Thanks and thanks for stopping by.

If you look at G1s past work he is very expert at getting 27 white lites. I should probably be less of a bomb master and learn form him, but as I stated, he is very professosional at how he approaches this.
Pete, thanks a ton for saying thar!
O the results are up, i’ll try to post the link later tonight or first think in the am.
Awesome performance.
Faultless!!
LOL! I am a huge Thompson fanboy, and I was looking at the head judge’s hair and wondering if it was her (but forgot to ask)! That is way too funny.
In that case, I’m thinking you sucked her into your rhythm, because she would definitely be able to appreciate your technique, and was probably lifting “with” you in her mind. Awesome.
Thanks Farmer!
Yep Punny that was her. I have had her as head or side several times before. Talked to her at breakfast and also before my session maybe that helped!!! lol just kidding. I think the more in control you are as a bencher the quicker the commands are? Plus once you get to know a judge you really can almost anticipate (so to speak) their commands? IMO

Lol, he had a show on with an orchestra, singers, performers, etc. Music and things that old people would listen too, waltzes, blah blah…lol. Not sure when it started but i remember it in the 60’s.
Myron Floren could flat out jam on an accordian.
Welcome to the geriatric wing of the gym.

Christ–isn’t the challenger our main (uk) battle tank, didn’t know you could just buy one !!
Thanks Hawk.
Ok off the subject but had a walk down memory lane this morning. You guys could probably relate.
Passed 3 Dodge Challengers on way to work. I want one so friggin bad i could taste it. Had a 70 special edition in high school and wish i would have kept it. Then i started thinking about the funniest shit. Had air shocks, painted under neath, craigers, 50’s (i think) on the back, 8 track and fm converter under the dash, Springsteen and Skynard 8 track with a pack of matches near by incase tape dragged and you had to put matches under one side. Some sort of felt on dash, speakers mounted on rear dash, cooler in trunk for beer. Back then you could drive through beer store when u were in high school unless LCB was in town. Holy shit, i was laughing. Ok enough BS
My training partner just got a Challenger. God damn they are sweet machines.
My wife says I should trade in my Durango for a new one. My thoughts are I should give her my Durango, and get a muscle car…

Fyi, Cressey just wrote about hip impingements (don’t know if it applies to your issues, hope it helps):
sorry to hear about the hip but it looks like you toughed it out very well.

It’ll be fine just got to figure out why it pinches or catches at certain times. I really think it is a glute weakness but we’ll see.
Well folks that concludes my log. Took it through a full training cycle and competition which was the goal. I’ll still follow everyones log as i can and not be a stranger but not planning on posting my workouts at least for a while. No competitions until late next spring so will just be training to training and yes Pete, playing with the gear. I’ll let you know how that goes…
So thanks for reading my log and all the awesome comments you guys/gals have made over the past several months. Train hard everyone!
You are a class act G1 - thanks for the view into your meet prep and performance!
damn dude, don’t have to leave, wasn’t like I was going to call you out on your outstanding credentials and track record, lol. great shit all around, and how much input do you have into your very well equipped traiing facility? would like to continue to see the vids…
