I also think we haven’t really seen you push yourself in any of your vids so far.

Interesting observation. And I have to say that I agree in that you never really seem to be straining much.

Lol. It sure feels like it! Hopefully be in a position to strain a little tomorrow!
Story for this meet is make attempts. Watched some squat sessions and i think at one point maybe 5-6 lifters made thier third squat out of 2 platforms. So goal for me is to make attempts!!!
Ran into lots of old friends today, also i met some people i had known of for years but never really talked too. Had a long visit with a coach on prilipins table, form versus technique, training templates, sets reps, etc. Really good to sit and throw around ideas. Just catching up all around. Missed Hardwig’s lifts but saw Thompsons squats and am headed back to see the benches in a few minutes.
Survived the meet lol. Weighed in at 89.2kg. Lightest i have weighed in for a class in a long time, maybe ever. And that was after breakfast. Weighins took forever, 2 scales and 110 lifters in afternoon session. 3 platforms, 3 flights per platform. all in all ran amazingly smooth.
Hip was miserable right from the first warm-up so some things changed attempt wise really quick. Had to shift the weight to the balls of my feet and squat more straight down or hip would just throb. Did go 3/3 and finished with 485, a new pr in the 90 kg class. 485 was probably better than my second attempt at 463. Really wanted to go over 500 but at that point 485 was sounding pretty good lol.
Bench 3/3 finished at 375, solid 3rd attempt and new pr.
Deads were interesting to say the least. After squats i iced and took ibuprofen in hopes that hip wouldn’t be completely trashed by the time deads rolled around. The dead lift itself was so so but lowering the weight back down really sucked as well as doing more than 1 rep. Soooo singles for my warm-ups and lower weight down with all my weight on one leg (basically). Just before last warm up we decided to do some hip PNF stuff which seemed to get me throught the deads. Should have thought of that for squats! But did try all types of stretching, dropping elbows, etc. Did go 3/3 in the deads, finished at 595 a new pr and a new amer record for my age/class. Did have room to spare but who knew. Did need 625 (i think) for the win, but went for securing the record and a small pr. After lowering the 595 the hip was done though so just made it through.
So 9/9, 27 whites, 4 pr’s, feel good today excpet hip giving out here and there, and i didn’t have to strain…lol.
Will post vids in next day or two when i can get them together.
If you look at G1s past work he is very expert at getting 27 white lites. I should probably be less of a bomb master and learn form him, but as I stated, he is very professosional at how he approaches this.
Well thanks everyone. Ya didn’t quite go as expected but i had a pretty good hunch that the hip wasn’t going to be on point that day. You can see on my opening dead about half way up i almost hitched when my hip grabbed, i was thinking oh ##### lol. And after 3rd when i turn to walk off platform you can see it again. At that point i was thinking where is my beer. lol.
Hope this movie loads.
Very impressive. Again, perfect form. And I couldn’t see hip issues at all. Watched several times. Totally transparent to the viewer. Truly a pleasure to watch your lifting.
