LOL. That young lady is tough! I thought your last squat was exactly the “perfect” depth, but she gave you the ol’ “little high” anyway. No wonder you’re so good, you’re working in front of a tought crowd!
Just kidding of course, great stuff as usual, really enjoy watching your vids for form.

Thanks. And yea, she’s trying!!! At least i know she won’t let me squat high lol.
Thanks Matty.
My massage therapist just beat the crap out of me. Good news is IT bands were good so work I am doing is paying off. She got some nasty stuff out glutes, upper quad/hip flexor and psoas. Ouch but feels so good when its over.

I hope this pic loads correctly. It is the 495 rep. Cut it awfully close[/quote]
blah, change federations and you might get penalized for going too deep, lol…
with that noted, I train with an APF judge who a couple of years ago got some internet grief for being too strict. Last APF meet I did the pauses on the bench were even worse than what I have seen/experienced at USAPL and USPF meets. Was a bunch of classic old school judges, no half second pauses allowed. and depth calls were spot on.
Pete interesting on the APF judges, i think any federation has its Nazi judges and its leave the white light on judges for the most part, idk. Too deep huh, that will be the day lol.
Thanks otrain, will do!
Thanks Kev, little grunting never hurt anyone lol.
Bench felt heavy today so cut it short. Worked up to 360x1, 3x5 db rows and done for the day. Last week was a pretty heavy week and still feeling the effects of it.
Yea pete, especially this far into a cycle,
dday i just don’t like to leave any doubt in the judges mind. When it’s close it really depends who is in the chair, and there is always human error.

I’m impressed how you know when to hit it hard and when to call it quits. I wish I could do that.
Is this an ability you’ve always had or has it come with age and experience?

How do you do that with the tracking? That is really cool. What is interesting is that the last few had very little lateral movement. Is that what you are aiming for? It would certainly save on energy to keep it like that.

It is on a program called dart fish. If you can get a squat from the side and email me the clip i can try to do one for you if interested?
I am not sure on bar path, i would think you are correct, but with the heavier weight i may be positioning the bar to get through the sticking point. Maybe someone has some thoughts?
That is cool! I can only imagine what some of my lifts are like.
Also on the rollouts, have you tried the standing? I have no doubt you are strong enough and wonder why you arent doing them? Not that ID try right before meet but …have you?
