O it was the Arnold, 27 white lights and all modern era (lol) pr’s
Thanks UP, i have a whole new repsect for your plate pushes and for anyone using the prowler. Much different than pulling the sled
K, i think she likes my sled

Squat day
Hips felt better than last week. Not sure on depth, i grabbed a guy who was lifting near me to video but he wasn’t quite getting the concept…oh well
Squat
135/225/300 x5
350x3
400x2
425x1
335x5
Pause squat
280/3x5 3 sec count, burned hips pretty good
Front squat
225/245/275 x 3
used belt on last set.
Felt tired at this point so called it a day. Maybe sled push tonight for a little extra work/recovery but we’ll see
Evening workout
Prowler
4x40 yd push
2x40 yd backward pull
2x40 yd sprint
Another proud prowler owner…very jealous!
Do you often do twice a day efforts?
Lol Matty, good to have one at home. I am actually going to try to gather some stuff to train more at home or at least be able to if i want.
Joe i don’t usually split up training, i am going to try to work more prowler and sled stuff in during the evening but it would just be extra work.
Today is a recovery day
Got IT bands/hams worked on with the tiger tail
30 min stretch
15 min visualization session
Will foam roll and stretch again tonight.
LOL trying to post this again…

Nice score on the prowler. You can keep the Q bar though, lol.

Lol, those q-bars are not very forgiving, I really don’t mind it though.
I’d be interested to hear what people are doing for supplements these days. I’ve been using SSP nutrition (pre, post and maint packets) on lift days and about 5 grams of creatine and glutemine on non lift days, along with fish oil, mutli vit, c, d and e…
What do you all use?
Edit: oh yea, and bcaa during workout

Very nice about the Arnold. One day when I have both money and time, I’ll have to check it out.
I guess that means we can’t expect to see you at the IPF worlds this fall then right?
I need to be more scientific and regular about supplements. In general, I take the following daily: multi, fish oil, calcium, glucosamine/chondroiton, acidophilus. I do protein powder with creatine (5 grams) + glutamine on lift days. That’s why my muscles are almost as big as yours.

Thanks. Yes you are correct. Going to hit one more raw meet then probably mastes nationals next year and see what happens.
The Arnold is anamazingg venue and just an incredible experience. I would love to lift in it again.

Lol…i am finding that supplements and nutrition are playing a huge role in training as i get older…
I take fish oil and vit D when I remember.
and if I am feeling particularly inflamed
some MSM and curicumin
creatinze has never done much for me.
Whey just gives me horrible gas- and so I stick with hemp
BCAA while training was actually really good- in a drink.
Supplements:
Omega 3-6-9
Vitamin C & D3
Iron
Tribulis
ZMA - off and on for sleep issue and restless legs
That’s it for me. I haven’t really found much difference except in the lightening of my wallet but I keep trying new things. I used BCAA for years and didn’t notice when I stopped.
I definitely think some people are creatine responders (so to speak) and some aren’t. I know i am. I really never noticed any benefit to the BCAA (during workout) until i really cleaned up my diet. Now i really think they keep me going when the workouts get long. I really never supplemented much until this past spring when i got onto the SSP line, great stuff, really has enhanced my recovery.
I’ll have to google Tribulis and i never tried ZMA but maybe i should as i have trouble staying asleep at times.
I am a big fan of plain on creatine mono. I use a preworkout supp that rhymes with ‘whacked’. fish oil, multi, various anti-oxidants, glutamine.

I like the basic no frills creatine that they first came out with which i think is the mono. lol rhymes with whacked, your boys in the lobby probably thought they were going to get whacked the other night. LMAO
