Your lifts always look so effortless. I can’t figure out how some people do that.

I’m not sure if that is good or bad? Maybe I’m not pushing hard enough but i know if i don’t let a few reps/pounds in the tank I’ll be shot for days.

x2. Those pulls look effortless (I’m sure they’re not).

Thanks. I like to think of them as smooth…ha ha. I aslo think this heavier/lighter alt weeks makes the light weeks feel heavy coming off a heavy week and a heavy week seem light coming off a light week. Last week 495/5 just flew, no doubt probably 10+ reps (i don’t like to make predictions though) but i wanted to be smart.

495/5 = Awesome, I hope to get to that one day, got alot of work to do.

More and more I realize just how individual good deadlifting form is. You got almost parallel with the floor but you were tight and explosive. On the other hand if I tried to DL like that I’d need the jaws of life.

Great pulling.

Thanks Matty and Joe.
Ya i was a little more parallel than i like, but what can ya do.

Effortless indeed.

And I don’t know if I’ve told you, but your avi is RIDICULOUS!! Looking good, German!

Nice pulling earlier this week- and no belt!

and I did snatch high pulls today too.

I see this looks like lots of years with some refined technique
nice work

Thanks, i try not to use belt unless i need it. Not sure if that is smart or not. Ya started pulling in 1980, I’m afraid to add those years up. Came from the era when most everyone pulled conventional and most started with fairly high hips.

If you can hold your form and not strain your back, I don’t see why you should need a belt at lower weights.

Exactly! I need to get better at squatting without a belt too. Was descent when i was younger then retired from lifting for a while and was never able to get that part back.

Im so lucky i got to see this effortless lifting you do

Its like your just breathing…are you doggin it? haha

Lol, i can’t believe you let me get out of there without going heavy…
Good think you were distracted with all the technique work
