Old Meathead Challenge Thread

After dinner tequila? LOL

“Would Darling like an after dinner Tequila slammer in the withdrawing room?”

Is that deep south sophistication?
kpsnap wrote:

Regarding the DL challenge, should there be a time limit so as to minimize long rests between reps? I suspect that people with a cross-fitty-type base might really excel at challenges that involve lifting for reps.
Yeah good idea. Maybe bodyweight deads for max reps in 2 minutes or something. Otherwise you could have people doing them rest/pause style and it could go on for days!

Beer is for people who can’t handle alcohol.

Why yes it is, beer pong and jello shots are the other one.

Snap are you thinking maybe some 3 rep max in the future?
I’m not known for being the best repper.

This 2-minute challenge was done in the women’s compound but the weight was the same for everyone regardless of bodyweight. I cried foul on that but bucked up and did it anyways. I think all women had to rep 155 lb.

Okay here’s the first Offical challenge

Max reps of bodyweight DL. Two minutes max time, try to keep any breaks longer to no more than five seconds but I’m not going to time them. You’re all grown ups and we’re all friends. Sumo or conventional. Lock them out but you don’t have to hyper extended.

Video if you can.

I’m going to try and do mine this Sat.

Bonus points for anyone who hits their age in reps.

That’s an intriguing challenge because there are different ways of going about it. Do you go at it ‘hell for leather’ right from the off and risk burning out or pace yourself so you can lift for the full 2 minutes? IDK.

I’ll be interested to see how people attack it.

I’m in. I’ll be doing it on Sunday after DL training.

Bulk-size bottle Geritol curls for reps

“The Clapper” for reps

Fall and Get Up for reps

Electric wheelchair derby

WAIT right there old man

I am still waiting on the response to my eating challenge.

16 oz Sirloin, rib eye, T-bone and porter house with fully dressed Tator, ice tea and Beer
Do I really have to say “I’m in”? The answer, is, like, soooo, obvious, dude.

One quick query… How does one redeem their bonus points and what form would the redemption take?

Over in GAL some guys came up with the idea of having regular challenges for board members to compete against each other. Which was a great idea except half the members of the board are butt grinding A-holes.

So the solution seems clear; a challenge for the 35+ folks. I’d be okay with letting the Powerful Women in as well since they also seem to have their heads and asses wired together.

So who’s up for some challenges?

Maybe body weight deadlifts for reps?
So, being a certain number, means your not an asshole, lol. Since when does “age” have to do with who is an asshole and whos not. lol. that makes no sense at all.

If you can’t handle a legitimate question, then by all means, put me on ignore. I just don’t see the relevance of how age has to do with a person being an asshole.

Did that months ago. Its great until you read someone quotes like this and then that fucking retard and his dumbass posts come through.

MODS anyway to beg of you to remove this troll out of this area. We are all old and do not ask much from you guys. And since we are on that topic why do we not have our own Mod? Like T-Cell and some of the other do?

Fuck, I hate when people quote someone on my ignore list. I violated my own policy. My apologies.
