My left knee really does not hurt any more. It just aches. I’m assuming that’s a good thing. I know if would get better faster if I stayed off it, but I’m not willing to do so. My only worry is I’m going to Vegas tomorrow, and that’s a lot of walking.
I think I’ll move up to 4 rounds on heavy bag days.
My left knee is a little better. Now my left shoulder is terrible. I slept wrong the other night, and now my arthritis is killing me. I think I’ll skip bench tomorrow and let it cool down.
I’m really not happy with today. I think I still have a little Vegas hangover. My shoulder felt much better once I was properly warmed up. We’ll see what I do with it tomorrow.
I finally did it! I hit 365 for three reps. I think the deads yesterday helped my shoulder by stretching it out. The warmups felt really light, so I was confident. My normal crew was not there to lift off, so I grabbed I guy I knew from the old gym. I had two younger guys take the sides, because he is not very big, in case thing go bad.
The first two were sold. The last one was a war. I was really loud yelling. The young guys were impressed when I told them I was going to 53 in two weeks. They had to tell other people in the gym.
Maybe try MIke Mentzer’s favorite bicep exercise I just discovered. Kneeling at a cable station with cable pulley at top of machine, do curls with elbows close to body. Works middle and both ends of bicep muscle. You can use a cable overhead lateral pull machine for some real weight.
Thanks to you both. I was pretty jacked yesterday after doing it. biker, I’m hitting arms tonight, to give my shoulders a rest. I’m always looking for ways to change things up.
