585 rack pull is really good; seems like you’ve pulled more in training for a meet.
Do not pay attention to that OG fella!! He has issues!
So what did you think?
I’m actually looking at one in November. The WABDL Worlds.
It wasn’t bad. Of course I was going really light.

Sandbag Shoulder Carries: 1000 steps x 170
Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 100 steps x 170
Farmers’ Carries: 500 steps x 100 in each hand
Overhead Plate Carries: 500 steps x 45
I am maxed out on time off at work, so I took today off for a three day weekend. I did all the sandbag work at home, and then drove to the gym for the other carries. The sandbag felt pretty heavy. I was out there at 7:00 AM and it was about 25 degrees, so maybe that has something to do with it. I’m going to put the rest of my sand in and move up to 200 pounds next week.
Two gyms for one workout…
Great work here, as always. 200lbs bag carries= ridiculous.
We’ll see. I know it’s going to suck for a while.
Relax, it’ll be easier than you think.

Tonight is normally arm night, but I had the urge to pull stuff. After the 390 set I realized something was familiar and I had done that last time. I checked my log and found today was supposed to be 410. I then did a set of 410 and did not have any issues.
I was a little worried since I had done rack pulls and carries already this week, but it all felt good.
Careful…extra DL work will make you sexy!

I made a goal of moving up to 200 pounds in the bag by April. I found since the bag was fuller, it was easier to get it on my shoulder. It was really hard work, and I was blowing pretty hard.
It’s a 150 pound bag, and I am not sure very much more sand can go into it.

Great to read this. Likely scary strong now. Fuller bag is certainly easier to handle.
How’s breathing with the bearhug?
I was blowing hard after each set. I don’t think the hugs were worse than the shoulders. I did about 200 steps per set after each shoulder carry. About 50 steps per bearhug and suitcase.
awesome, awesome, work Crip… huge load!

Yup.
Thank guys. I remember when I purchased the bag this past summer. 100 pounds felt like it almost killed me. I just think my body has adapted. I am thinking about getting a smaller one to throw in some different work.

Not bad for being super tired. I have been up since 0330 and worked all day.
