Boot Camp

Everyone was out of town, so there was just two of us. It was pretty hard, but not overly so. From there the family wanted to see the 9:00 PM showing of Star Wars. I got to bed after mid-night, only to get up for work at 5:30.

I finally got a deload bench workout in today. I decided to drastically cut the weight and upped the volume. On the 50th rep of 225 in held a 5 second pause.

I really was not into it, so I had to push myself. We sometimes do push-ups with dumbbells. They really suck, and we did a whole bunch.

The first workout of the year is in the books. With the day off, I saw a lot of my old gym friends. My wife made a bean dip last night for our New Years Eve gathering. Once more I found out the bean dip and squats the next day is not a good combo. I should probably apologize to everyone there.

Boot Camp

Tonight was heavy on weights. I convinced one my employees to come. I think he about passed out. He said he had a good, time but he was dragging. He was warned not to call in sick. LOL. It’s good for him though, he’s been bored and depressed. I think he might become a regular.

I don’t know. He was pretty sore when he stumbled into the office yesterday. He said he had plans to go duck hunting today, and I told him he’ll be twice as sore. He agreed, though, that he needs it and he says he’ll be back.

Ha, for him it is. I have not lost any weight in a while. I actually gained some during Christmas. Plus I have been eating at night, with all the increased stress right now.
