As a husband and father your always caring for others.
Nobody will understand your stress but you.
Take the steps you need to do.
Doesn’t sound like you are being irresponsible or selfish.
Being dead or super stressed or angry isn’t any good.
I would vote to go for it and don’t look back
Best of luck
Thanks. I’ve been looking for other employment. As I said I can start collecting my pension (with penalties) when I turn 50 in 15 months. At that point its not a big deal. I just worry about a stroke before I get there.

Blah…
Glad clee78 posted. Good to have a medical dr. on here.
He additionally does yoga and follows a guy on youtube he describes in his log.
Maybe add some yoga? I’ve found walking is also good for stress.
I actually have a hard time with the meditative part of yoga. We all have to find our inner peace, a YouTube guru probably won’t help… I do really enjoy the workout of power yoga and the stretching. I would definitely recommend that.
Stress is detrimental to our health, trying to control it through exercise or lifestyle changes is probably the best option for the over 35 crowd.
Thanks. I’ve been doing a lot more walking. Tomorrow I am getting a monitor for my heart, to see what’s up. You’re right stress really is messing me up.
Maybe laughing a lot too.
Better living through modern chemistry.
And sure…that other stuff too.
Thanks fellas. It’s been a struggle lately. I know my chair and her boss at the school want to have a meeting with me. I am hoping it has something to do with a job offer. My current job is sucking the life out of me. I pissed off the Director earlier this month for standing up to him in a meeting. Since then my life as been hell. He tried to hit my up with a dishonesty charge, but I was far from it. Luckily I have saved all my documentation to back me up. I pay into a legal defense insurance and have consulted an attorney.

The wife and I are going walking again as soon as she gets off work.
I had the heart monitor put on today, and I have to wear it for 48 hours. The gym was good and a nice place to work off some stuff.
It’s been several years ago, but you told me once that lifting fixes almost everything. You were right, it does!
This’ll blow over and you’ll do fine. It’s exercising your mental strength.
Good luck with the school thing.

Got off early for more medical stuff and hit the gym. The wife and I will go walking when she gets home.
I’m also going to start boot camp again this week. Once more, because of my teaching job, a can only go twice a week. Wednesday will be the first night. Since it’s gotten cold here it’s moved from a park to a community center. I’m kinda curious what my bubby has planned for inside torture.

Boot Camp
This was my first session in six weeks. I could really tell the difference. You know its hard when the people who don’t take time off say they can’t walk. The sessions are 60 minutes and I wanted to puke after 20.
I’m not sure how much of this stuff my buddy learned back home in Israel, but its no joke. I’m down 20 pounds from my heaviest this summer. It’s from a combination of eating better, boot camps and stress. I told my buddy I want another 10, and he says he’ll get it off me.
