Just wait until they start putting PAC-12 conference games on at 9 am local time. That’ll get butts in the seats, for sure.
Yep. Pretty stupid. Of course I also hate all the late games. We are Washington State fans and most of the games are not at night. It’s a four hour drive Pullman, so if you want to go, you are almost forced to find a room.

So my buddy from the gym is a personal trainer, and has his own business. The and his partner do a boot camp three days a week at a local park. He has been trying to get me to do for a while now. My problem is I work my second job at the university on Tuesday nights and the boot camp is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
He told me I can come when I want and he is only charging me $54 instead of $155 for the month.
Tonight was my first night. It was 60 minutes of living hell. I have not worked that hard since football. One of the guys, who goes all the time, said I won’t be able to wipe my ass tomorrow.
Anyway I am going to continue to go twice a week and lift in between. I want to lose a bunch of weight and this is a great way to do it. I dumped four pounds in the hour I was there.
4 pounds. Jeez.
Hopefully that 4 pounds was water and not from projectiles out of either end, lol.
I thought there was going to be some projectiles. I just told myself I couldn’t stop, being the new guy and all. I’m pretty sore today.
Probably like SEAL training. This could be interesting.
Save it for AFTER the meet…maybe?
Speaking of, got any numbers in mind? Attempts/goals and such??

I don’t know but it’s work. My friend is from Israel and was in the army there, but I don’t think it was part of his training. I’m sore in places I did not think I would be. My lats are really sore.
Yeah, I am going again tomorrow and then Monday and Tuesday. I want to give myself some recovery before next Saturday.
I am really not sure. I’ve been trying to rebuild my DL. I am thinking 425-450. For bench 400 is a goal. I have only touched that once at a meet.
All and all I am keeping my numbers low. There are no records in my new age and division.
They’re waiting for you to set them.
I suppose. I’m just looking to have fun and get a couple cheap records in the process.

Deadlift:

I did not lock out 455.
This was my final DL before the meet. I’m not too concerned about not hitting 455. As I stated I am trying to rebuild my DL, but this is a good starting point.
On the flip side Roll Tide and his buddy were training right by me again.

Boot Camp
They tell me it gets easier, but not yet. 95 degree weather does not help. Today’s boot camp was harder than the first. About half way through I started thinking that I am paying these people to do this to me. I’m committed, however, in the long run it’s going to pay off.
I had one issue today, however. I hurt my left knee at work. I have no idea how, because I spend the majority of my day sitting my ass behind a desk. It’s slightly swollen, so I wore a brace for boot camp, and there were no issues. The left knee has been a thing since football, so I’m not too worried about it.
Yep.

Final bench. I left the gym and loaded my truck to take our daughter to college. After the four hour drive we moved her in. Wednesday I’ll move our son into his apartment at his college. Then, no kids.

Boot Camp
It must be getting easier because I am not swearing at the instructors as much. My left knee is getting better with Ibuprofen and ice. I have one more boot camp tomorrow and then rest and stretching for Saturday.
