Ha. You’re never too old.

I did not sleep well, so I was a little tired again this morning. I continue to break in the new shirt. Today was the first time with one board. Next week I’ll attempt a set off the chest.

Old is just a mindset and usually that of those who have chosen it.

Week eight of eight. 550 is a new PR. It was a struggle, but it moved. I kind of messed up the set up. I wear a mouth guard when I pull. I’ve had some expensive dental work, and I don’t want to mess up my teeth. I was going to cheat a little and use wraps. As I was wrapping the bar the gag reflex set in with the mouth guard. I backed away and tossed the wraps. It kind messed with my head and I had to set up once again.

I failed at 535. I got it to mid-shin. I’ll chalk it up to several heavy sets, and the fact I just set a PR.

With about seven weeks until my meet, I’m feeling great about this.

Awesome work! 550 is a big pull.

Great work! Your sure to add some poundage to that dead in 7 weeks.

550 is a stout pull. Good work!

Thanks everyone.

I was really tired this morning. We had three hang up calls from a Florida area code last night. All were after midnight. It sounded like some drunk.

1/26/15

Bench:
135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 3, 245 x 1, 275 x 1, 315 x 1
Shirt:

Cable Crossover:
5 sets x 12 reps x 50

That’s all I had time for today. I had to pick my daughter up at school. I was able to train with a buddy from work. We trained together a couple years ago. He’s agreed to help me with bench on the weeks my son is not available.

425 and 455 were pretty clean. I needed some help with 465, but it really worked me.

1/27/15

Squats:
135 x 10, 225 x 5, 275 x 3, 315 x 1, 415 x 5, 450 x 5, 470 x 5

Narrow Stance:
225 x 10
245 x 10
275 x 10
295 x 10

Leg Extensions:
4 sets x 10 reps x 235

Today was strong. 450 felt really good. I probably left a couple high on 470, but it felt good.

Strong squatting there and nice bench work.

I must have worked something, because the legs are good and sore today.

1/31/15

Deadlift:
135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 3, 275 x 2, 455 x 2, 505 x 1, 535 x 1, 515 x 1, 495 x 1, 475 x 1, 455 x2, 405 x 2

Laying Leg Curls:
4 sets x 12 reps x 110

Where did my strength go? It all felt really heavy today. 535 was not locked out. 515, 495, and 475 were supposed to be two reps, but I did not have it today.

I have plenty of time before the March meet.

Go Hawks!!!

We all have these days but I bet you’ll shrug it off, rest, and come back stronger.

Thanks GV, I’m good with it.

2/1/15

GO HAWKS!

That looks like a monster puling day to me. 3 singles over 500 another at 495 another at 475 and two doubles at 455. That is a month worth of pulling.

225 x 10, 245 x 10, 275 x 10, 295 x 10

4 sets x 10 reps x 235

My Seahawks pissed away a Super Bowl, so it’s been a hard couple days. I sicker than crap yesterday, but I feel much better today. Squats were good, with no issues. I’m about six weeks out, and I’m making hotel reservations today for the meet.

Squats are looking good and your deads have time to grow. Rooting you to have an awesome meet.

Thanks. I made my reservation, now I just need to send off the entry form.
